Hi Guys

I recently bought a FB14, 1998 model, 1300CC and Auto transmission. It has done 176000 kms. It does petrol only 7-8 Km/L. How many Km does it do normally? Could you give your suggestion to keep good petrol consumption?

Sounds about normal for a B14 Auto. A fuel system cleanup/ tuneup should help. Be light footed when driving.

My one is doing around 9-10 km with A/C in the city limits.

As per the few owners i know, the figure doesn't exceed 9km/l in City. The 1.3l engines wear out a bit more quicker than the 1.5l ones.... mainly 'cos the drivers tend to rev the engines a bit more to get the accelaration... At 176k on the meter, better get the engine conditon checked as well.... (I'm assuming several drivers would have used this down the line....)

I've a friend who's got a 1.5l auto, one owner.. well maintained.. done around 100k... and it does about 10 in Colombo!!
