Hi Guys,

What is an complete engine ovehaul? What parts hould be replaced? This is the definition I found In Net. Experts please give your thoughts.

A general term for major engine work that usually requires removing the engine from the vehicle, and rebuilding or replacing internal components (e.g. pistons, connecting rods, valves).

complete engine overhaul as per the definition is quite true but so far i've overhauled not less than 5 engines of the cars I used but never had to replace piston rods. with my experience what I've replaced was mostly in that order Piston Rings, Bearings, Valve guides, Pistons, Piston sleeves, valve sheets.
