been looking in the papers these days.. there have been a couple... they all range from 950,000 to 1,100,000... depending on the options... and the additions owners have made (CD players etc)

anyway, something we realized is that all indica's being sold have done between 25,000 and 40,000km.. MOST around 30,000... so kinda wondering if the cars give trouble once they hit that range... and its not the time factor... some have done this milage within a year maybe and some within 2 or 2 1/2... so wondering if the engien gives trouble once it hits 30,000... it is a EFI, so it could be that the electronics are messing up.. and tata is a bit new to petrol engines.. unlike diesels :)

Dilesh, no offence but you seems to be obbsessed with the Tata Indica. Why is that? When there are other proven cars like the starlet, march in the same price category. Would like to see a response from you.

actually the indica scene started cos my father went to india took a long long trip in one and relaized that it would be a good replacement for the Gemini (which is way better than an indica in mmy view). and plus in india they are diesel. and my father's never bought a petrol, and i dont think he will int he future. as for the indica one reaosn he like it (and i agree) is that it has loads of leg space... a 6 footer can easily ride in the back with no problem with their knees hitting their chin (slight sarcastic exageration :) )... the march and satrlet lacks leg space... even i (about 5"6') have to go through hell if i'm one of the 3 passengers riding int he back...

and we went to see one and the driving position is also pretty nice..

and further looking at the silver lining of the cloud, i think the rear lights are pretty funky too.. esepcialy in the night...

Well if space is an issue, why not try a used kia rio hatch. It has loads of boot space, and leg room for a hatch.Its also really reliable and has a good mi-tech 1.5 engine. Sounds lovely. its f/o has leather and ABS. Indica is only f/o.

like i said.. my father's always been a diesel vehicle owner

My advise is don't ruch into it. The goverment has promised permits for government servants, which means the Indica diesel will come down here. But the time line when it will be issued still remains very vague. I assume your Gemini is also a permit- import.

well, we are the 2nd owner of the Gemini.. not sure how it came into the country.. but i'm guessing permit, cos there's a lot of gemini's going with lisence numbers close to this...

as for te indica, not exact;y in a hurry either.. waiting for the price to fall below 900,000 to get one.. cos no hurry.. can use the other cra stil then.
