Can I import a LHD vehicle but convert to RHD before register under Gift Permit

gift permit does not allow LHD vehicles to be imported. it has to be converted before import

Is it possible to bring down a LHD vehicle(not under gift permit) and get it converted to RHD in Sri Lanka?

If yes where is it done and what would be the cost involved?

As far as I know, individuals can no longer import LHD vehicles as of a few years ago. Only that company that does the conversions to RHD and sends them to Australia can now import LHD vehicles I think, but I don't believe they are allowed to resell them here. Of course, anything is possible, and there may be ways around this
