Need Hard pressure On The Accelerator To Move The Car

ThilakR

Question

Hi :)

I have a problem in my Mazda BJ5P Auto. It looks like in the Gear Box. When I accelerate car doesn’t move for seconds. But when I push the accelerator pedal little more it jump and move. Always I have to be little hard on the pedal to get the normal speed. :violent-smiley-099: I changed the ATF recently. Could you experts help me to rectify the problem.

Thanks

Thilak

i presume you're talking of a scenario where the car si already moving; if so:

the 'jump and move' is most likely due to the transmission down shifting to give mo power. If the lack of power or delay in response has been around for a long time it just might be just the way the car's engine/transmission is.

But if its actually delayed by seconds as you say it could be something quite wrong.

But if the car doesnt move soon after it is shifted to 'D' form 'N' or 'P' then you've got an issue that some other members also had some time ago (on different cars) maybe you can google it...

Dude,

Can you please edit the Thread heading...? at first glance I got a very wrong impression....

Have you done a diagnostic scan recently? If not, I suggest you get one done. I have PM you the details of where you can get it done.

Good luck.

heh heh....true dat!

at first glance at the topic thread it looks like a viagra issue :P

hehe...

Normally automatic tranny comes with a kick down cable which is connected near to the air flow sensor! Just have a look on it coz that too can create accelerating problems! <if you got an e-throttle this doesnt apply>
