anyone know any details on the maruti that has started to race. it came 2nd in its event whch i thought was very good for a maruti...

A South African development company has been contracted to build off-road racing Mahendra's. The first unit has been taking part in the local off-road races and been doing quite well. Considering the differences in budgets compared to the likes of Nissan, Toyota, etc works teams, the Mahendra has performed quite admirably.

African off-road races are amongst some of the toughest in the world.

I think its the black maruti zen. I cant remember the drivers name though.

Tariq Hassan drove the Maruti Zen in Group A upto 1050 cc. Considering the fact that his car had a minimum of mods, it was a good showing.

The maruti that raced at fox hill was driven by Tariq Hassan, brother of Mansur hassan who used to run the super car event sometime back..

The maruti is standard though he is running in the modified upto 1050cc event, which is pretty good for a maruti i guess..
