What is the reason for the dashboard's engine symbol light to light up throughout the drive?

The car is Kia Spectra 2001 model. Apart from that the car is in good condition and can see water drops in the silencer. Is there any reliable place i can take the car for inspection? Because so far i couldn't find a good mechanic or a garage near Colombo. I am new to this site and please bear with me... Thanks in advance....

Check Engine Light means there is a problem with your EFI system, like sensor problem. For these kind of issues, best place is agents because they have scan tools that can connect to OBD port of car to diagnose the problem.

the orange check engine light is a prewarning. ur car may run fine for a day or even an year.. but suddelnty develop undrivable sympotms. better get it scanned.. i am sure its a minor sensor issue but left unsloved it may lead to other problems..

no way to tell what the light means until you plug it in and check the error. if you don't want to go to the company for that, you can go to debug auto on hill street, they will be able to check the error for you

It might be an Issue with your EFI system.Some sensor might b giving wrong details or some sensor might have failed.Its better to get it checked at the Agents.
