i remember watching a documentry on discovery.. they said the news of the Titanic sinking hit the US shores so fast that the management of the titanic didnt even have time to respond before it went on the paper... in fact on the cover was the news of it sinking and in a middle page there was an advert selling seats/cabins for the ride journey back to england.. :D
