Spark Plug For Fb15 2003

Hi All,

I am having Sunny FB15 JDM YOM 2003. (QG15DE) The car came with NGK LFR5A-11. Someone suggested that these plugs are ‘hot range’ and need to be replaced with NGK LFR6A-11 (mid range temperature). Please advice.

I own a 2000 YOM Wingroad with a QG15DE Engine.

Recommended plug is NGK BKR5E-11. A*W once fitted BKR5E Std plugs - re-gapped to 11mm.

Currently running BKR5EIX-11 Iridium plugs

generally advisable to stick to the recomended plugs in terms of heat rating.

I have done a comparison between LFR5A-11 and BKR5E-11. The heat ratings for both plugs are same. There are 2 differences,

1. BKR5E-11 Reach shorter than LFR5A-11. BKR5E-11 19mm (3/4") and LFR5A-11 26.5mm (1.04")
2. BKR5E-11 is a ISO Length plug.
