Cheers, Mac its the CIVIC made out to export market and trim levels and power train and drive train are comes as basic options. comes with a D15Z engine (none vtec) and on the drivetrain ... they have limited options like..wishbones excluding rear and front stab bars ... also on some EXI models... Honda made their cars from civic 3rd Gen to 7th Gen as Executive cars...dats y Civic VINs stats with "E" EF, EG,ES series...mainly they have made those VINs to start from E is to give prominance to Executive compact cars... (refer articles @ temple of vtec) but as u said..EX is for EXTRA ..dat expression mainly used in many car makes...like Nissans...Toyota...Honda...Mazda...
