Revenue License

Anybody know the Revenue license fee for a 2000cc Petrol vehicle. I lost my earlier license and want to know the amount so that I can calculate how much money I should have. I tried calling the Divisional Secretariat in my area but they are not that helpful. I am out of town so I cannot go to that place personally either at the moment.

2000cc petrol vehicle starts at LKR 2000 (if you have paid on time and not missed the deadline date).

Note that the luxury tax is paid separately.

Can two cars have the same reg number except the province.

i.e WP KA 1234 and NP KA 1234

This is illegal. The owner must have changed the province but may not have returned the old number plates to RMV when obtaining new plates.

Depends on how many days you have missed it by. And the mood at the counter. One year I was 5 days late, but no extra, one year 3 days, but they charged.

Last week I sent my Revenue License to Gam5.... Without checking even they have ask for the smoke test.... Then I took a Leave did the test & went there then there teliing since this is 1st transfer after i bought it I have to go to Maligawatta kiyala..... Simply Srilankan Government service.... When I called Maligawatta they told that since I have recently repair the engine & have bills also.. they dnt need the smoke test.......

What to tell..... & Whome to Tell............... This is Srilankan Government Service..........
