hi all,

recently i did a full service to my car and the cleaning guys did the engine cleaning as well. but now there is a mis when accelerate the engine. do i need to clean carb or ... ?

You probably had the whole engine washed without proper protection to the vital parts. Check the plugs- these usually go spoil, when you get water on them. If that does not sort out the problem, you may have a more serious issue

Water and Engines don't mix well.

If you have water in the coils like Elvis said, you are going to be in a world of hurt. A friend burnt all 4 plug coils in his N16 all because he wanted to have the engine 'cleaned'.

Cost of replacement was around 40K.

not to mention some known 405's and '06 s burnt engine ecu modules at agents simply coz specially requested engine dressing regardless of warnings given by experts. Replacement costs were averaged at 200k.

itz been fixed... i had to clean the spark plug caps.. it works...thank all

Just to add my two cents... why not try cleaning the dust with compressed air / vaccum?

I've tried this and has yielded quite good results...
