Has any one had any experience in using after market car dvd players / reverse cameras made in china? Many audio centers tend to sell these products. There are some good deals on ebay as well.

Any feedback on radio clarity, sound, overall quality and lifetime

Actually i have experience with some Chinese Dvd players. I used same made to two of my vehicles. It was frm S*n L*n*a which comes with reverse camera, blue tooth & etc. From my experience that didnt have any problems.Anyway initially i installed the setup, some radio issue was there. But they replaced it and had no more issues untill today.

well for starters...i have zero experience with chinese car audio stuff but i have bought a few power tools and like that are of chinese origin since they are dirt cheap compared to their japanese counterparts. That's just to make the point that i dont dis chinese stuff from get go :P

anyways...though these chinese power tools came at a very affordable price they really couldn't match upto an pricey jap product. For example a rs2000 hand drill i bought doesn't have the steadiest of an armature so the drill tip is kinda wobbly... for diy stuff around home... i really didn't care and the bloody thing has lasted over 3 years with significant use and abuse :)

so IMHO...i'm guessing that the whole chinese audio thing too might be simillar...

for the money... i bet no jap product will come close

but in durability and performance...i'm pretty sure it wont be as good as a jap!

If you're an audiophile...best to get an established product that comes with good credentials! I bought a pioneer and i'm extremely happy with my decision!

If you're more budget conscious and not an audiophile....i suppose a chinese product should do fine!

just my 2 cents

ps. i'm a firm believe that when i comes to high quality audio. there are no short cuts. budget cuts etc. stuff that sounds great costs a lot more as horrible as that is :(

Yup ripper Quality audio products aren't cheap. One Of my friends got a chinese Cd/DVD/USB player installed. But it didnt sound good as the Pioneer CD player he had earlier. After sometime the colour of the Buttons faded and also the display got half lit.So my opinion is that they aren't Longlasting and also cannot be matched to Jap quality :)

i got it from the hardware store closest to my house :) small joint.

initially checked from Abans close to office for jap stuff and needed resuscitation! :D

these chinese power tools are available every machang cos they costs next to nothing even small shops can stock em up.

A friend bought another chinese drill from Hunters and he too is quite happy so far...

My one is branded "wusley" but i'd say the name doesn't really matter.

Slightly better brand is Einhell... looks cooler and the feel is better than the average chinese stuff...slightly pricier though since they claim german technology.
