Question

Dear expert members please help me

I have japaneese swift ht51s, it hit/touch rode side bump while i drive to home, then i feel some swing/buffel at below 20kmph. Then i go to A*W and check the car and they said change the rim, because rim was dammage. After change the rim problum remain the same. some peoples say change the tyre because tyre wires are also broken. How can i correct this problum and its harmful to my wehicle to drive with this swing.

Please help me , this is my first car

Did you do a wheel balancing before you change the rim? (Just to see rim is realy damaged beyond repair) You can change the tyre to different rim and do the wheel balancing again and see if tyre is also damaged or not.

Do wheel alignment as well. If problem continues after this may be you have to check other mechanical parts such as stearing arms, cv joints, I guess.

Think he has already changed the rims, which means it could be the tires. But if the tyres are visibly ok when inflated could there be such a wobble even if the wires are broken ? so my guess is it could be something else. Maybe the lower arms .

Even without visible damages a tire can cause a wobble due to damaged steel belts. Best is to replace this wheel with the spare to see the wobble persists. If persists, yes it could be

1. Rack ends and tie rod ends

2. Hub bearings

can't think of any other part which can fail due to a sudden jerk/shock resulting a wobble, leaving rim and tire out.

Do u recon the suspension would have got damaged?

I hit a roundabout curb here and both my LHS front and back tires got damaged and I had to replace them and also I had to change the LHS front suspension, CV jolint, ball bearings and the knuckle. Even after all that and a four wheel allignment I still had problems with handling at high speeds and a wobbly effect some times similar to Sanjeew. When I took it back to a different mechanic they told to replace the bushes.

I had to replace them and I had to change the front suspension LHS, jolint hp, ball bearings and quiet. Although, after all, still had four-wheel alignment and handling problems at high speeds and sometimes shaky Sanjeew similar effect. When I took it back they told a different mechanism to replace shrubs.
