Hi guys, I was wondering if there was any restrictions on the wheel sizes on vehicles in SL. I mean if some one uses 17' rims is it illegal? Have the same issue with the legality of low profile tires. If I send wheels via sea mail, what is the customs treatment for it? I know a guy here who ships things to SL but I wasen't sure about the customs treatment. I had a read through the thread about sending parts via post but since this is not post was wondering. Has any one did this before? If so could you please share us the process.

To my knowledge, there is no legal restriction on wheel size. If it physically fits, you can run them.

No too sure bout the customs duty on wheels..

No legal restriction, but you should take other factors like comfort/handling etc into consideration

Yeah, 17's can be a tad bit uncomfortable. But it's the suspension that really takes a beating.

Thanks for the replies guys, appreciate it. Also could some one give a rough quote of wheels with or without tires in SL for different sizes (15",17"). Tried online and no prices. A friend told me it might be better to get them locally than sending from overseas. Any views on this idea? Thanks.

there is no restriction on alloys. but if you send tires, get ready to pay a good sum as duty.
