95 Octane Fuel For Mitsubishi Gdi Engines?

Using 90 Octane is not good for the engine..The GDI has a very small nozzle that sprays fuel into the engine combustion chamber, Using lower graded fuel than the recommended would result in the nozzles getting blocked and would reduce overall efficiency.

If you have used 90 Octane in a GDI Engine, Suggest you run the tank almost till empty, and then refill with 95 octane + Fuel System Injector cleaner - BG44k or Valvoline .

Cheers!

90 octane has a reputation for being dirtier (more "rodu" etc) than the 95 octane and that's probably why it mucks up the injectors.

(using lower octane than recommended does result in poorer performance and enging knocking, but than in itself wouldn't block injectors)
