I bought a FB15 super saloon YOM 2000 H series for 1.75M two months ago. But I noted that market price has increased a lot very recently. But I think you will able to find atleast a FB15 Ex-Saloon for 1.8M.

With that budget your only options might be the Lancers and the Familias. It would be wicked if you could a Primera for that price though.

The brand new P11s are really cheap. I've seen some priced as low as 1.1 mil!

The OP did want a post 2000 car though. So all you EK3 fans better forget it....
