Planing to go for a charade G100 / G101 / G30(diesel),

Need your valuble openion on this

Dose any one having hands on experience on Charade (Diesel)?

Hows the

Maintenence / Durability / Parts availability / fuel usage

Mainly whats the current PRICE TAG???

hope its around 4k-5k for G30 (32-) / 5k-6.5k G100,101 (32-64-).

slightly reduses if it is 2door

a colleague at work had a 65- one sometime back. no idea what the model is but he had a tough time selling it though it was in very good nick for it's age...

the only problem is to get a car that's not hacked and in decent shape.

diesel charades are driven mostly by very economy minded folks so most of em are not cared for that well.

this is just my personal view from seeing many examples on the road etc...

Si if i were you i'd think twice about this and if you really want one...take your time and wait for a good specimen.

weekend sinhala paper classifieds should be a good starting point...

In terms of fuel economy...my friends car was very good in fuel, decent comforts etc but parts were somewhat harder to source. especially things like lights and other body panels etc

Machang I'm sorry but I dont have any experience with a diesel Charade.....However what I do have is experience with a petrol one. A G200 to be specific. Its not in the range youre looking at but what I'm telling you about is what charades are like

Bloody good car, but extremely difficult to sell......and like Ripper said also difficult to find a car that has been maintained well.

All the models however are generally fuel efficient, the diesel's more so.

Parts arent all that badly priced and not too hard to find. quite a few guys in panchi that speacialises in Charades.

...lights are a bit hard to come by tho. Had a couple of accidents and had a time finding the headlight and the signal light....

A friend from office is also currently looking for one, but what I told him as well is to be patient.

Best not to rush into it.

Went through weekend news papers, n visit few today. as ripper said most of em are not in acceptable conditions.

and there was a avarage condition one @ boralasgamuwa 64- G101 / 4door had a look in the morning but it was already ADVANCED by someone, owner said it went for 4.85...
