This is my first time I'm sending an e mail to you'll, therefore please do bear with me. I was looking for a HYUNDAI SANTA Fe to buy, but there are so many negative comments about it. The vehicle which I looked is not a brand new one (1st owner bought it unregistered), and it was the 2001 model petrol, done 120 kms on the clock and very recently replaced the gear box from the company (auto and triptronic). is it really bad on prtrol and is the maintenence cost pretty high on these vehicles?

I would kindly appreciate of you could provide the answers for the following clarifications on an URGENT BASIS as I need to give him a word by 8 pm.

Petrol consumption

Maintenance cost

Is the cost of the company repairs reasonable and the quality of the maintenance up to a good standard

Current market price (Asking price - 2 million) Is it worth ?

The reliability of the vehicle

The most common problum I heard in this model was the gear box

If it is replaced it shold be ok

Try to go for a brand new imported one as there are problums in re-cons cause they are assembled in Singapore

No maintainance issues if u maintain @ compayany good guys are there (same agent as bmw) treats u well

Price is Reasonable well u can't get a suv for a lower price

well i use a 2008 crdi 4wd manual (diesel) so i don't know u'r eco figurs

the crdi does 21kmpl long and 14 kmpl colombo Petrol will be lower

no problems for me for it's 3yrs only maintainance (@company)

Company service for diesel less than 10k every 5k for diesel petrol will be much lower
