1. Can an ordinary service center change my CVT gear box oil? (is it a wise thing to do?)

2. Does anybody has the contact no of Tech? motors panchikawatta.

1.Possible. Even at the agent they remove the bottom plug and drained and fill from top.

Yes, you maybe able to buy the oil from Tech Motors, but, I am not sure whether getting it canged at any service point is a good idea. Besides, AFAIK, Stafford charges only 1000 to 1500 for the labour.

1. CVT gear box oil is different from normal auto gear box oil. Pay attention to it. Specially Honda CVT oil. Ordinary

service centers may not recognize CVT gear box. It is better, First ask them about Honda CVT gear oil. CVT gear box

must maintain properly.

Yes I'm totally agree with civicferio. I'm also using a Fit aria which has CVT gear box and realize cvt is better than normal auto. It need to change CVT oils for each 20000km but I know sometimes it's bit difficult to find Honda CVT Oils in here(Stafford & Teck got no stock)(They also use Nippon oils manufactured in Thailand). I had to wait for two months to get 4L of cvt oil & cost 8000/=.

@Ralph- Someone told me there is a place in Kurunegala who imports CVT oils directly. So if you need to change it urgently will try to contact them.
