Machan parts and maintainence has discussed so many times here, if you go for genuine parts there is no much difference. But used and other 3rd party products are not commenly available as some of the Toyota and Nissan brands, mainly corolla and sunny, and few common models.

1.5M is the budget for EK3 which warrying from 1.3M - 2.1M

For this budget you will be able to find good 98/99 year Exi model with 300/301/302 reg numbers.

If not some good condtion 96/97 Vi model again 300/301 numbers.

There are EK3s for below your budget, but always better to pay little premium on well maintained one. how ever 1.45M - 1.5M you will be able to find good one.
