Hr-V Fuel Consumption

Guys,

Anyone knows about the fuel consumption of HR-V

was at stafford y'day and asked the owner of a (H numbered) hrv manual (i-vtech) one n he said he gets around 6 in col and around 9 out of col.

There must be something wrong with that vehicle... had a 1999 H Reg Non-Vtec Manual some years back and the consumption was between 9 and 11 in Colombo alone.... outstation was over 14

wot ? H number and i-vtec ? r u kidding me... HRV 1999 - 2000 models didnt have Vtec and on a 2000 model car never had this i-vtec (except Type R models)other than three stage vtec (mind you that vtec and i-vtec technologies are bit different)

Hi,

I dont have much knowledge on abt this engine types(vtec and i-vtec) Let's say the vehicle has been registered after 2000, So how can I say whether the vehicle is with v-tec or i-vtec

Anyway whts the difference between those two type(whts the better one)

Ohh... you sold it...? I'am desperately looking for a HR-V, you sold it through this? If its doing 9-10, then its very good... hope every HR-V out there doing 9-10 in Colombo with AC...

Just to butt it .. is it true that HR-V has more than its fair share of gear box problems, especially for auto's?

I also hv the option to swap an FB15 for an HR-V (2001, H-numbers) for just a little bit more, but am thinking whether it's worth it....

sorry my bad, meant a k numbered one (Pressed the wrong key).. anyway I believed that owner cause it sound pretty right for a AWD vehicle in Colombo,

Specially since most 1500 AWD Jeeps only do around 8 in Colombo anyway. But I just said what that owner told me.

Mine is an manual YOM 2000, 2 WD doing 10-12 KMPL in average traffic and has done 14 + outation. Figures tested many times.

Try only manual ones and best luck !

That's a great news, So it's a very fuel efficient vehicle when comparing with most of others.. (except maruti.. lol)

yeah i sold it through AL.. but the ad was there for only abt 2-3 hours max

i think u should keep looking for a good manual hr-v
