  1. Both wipers need adjusting,.. badly. they should not rest on the beading. both front and rear beadings look good,.. does the front footwell either side get damb when the car is parked in the rain?
  2. Dont think of original equipment decades after the car was made,.. use the mirrors you have or take a ride to Darley road.
  3. Hi, first you need to find a repair kit,.. before you take the carb apart,.. And check if the float- chamber is over filling . may be causing the leak. Don't use ethanol mixed high octane fuel.your car was not designed for it. TT.
  4. Another place to give your attention will be the grill below the windscreen,.. get the car mechanically sound,.. before cosmetic work,..and check the t.belt.and re-core the rad to a3 core unit if te car doesn't have one. Good luck,.. TT.
  5. This a result of abuse + lack of maintenance,.. changing the ATF as a last resort has not done any good,..try flushing the entire system with fresh ATF. By taking your car to a transmission specialist. TT.
  6. Hello and welcome to AL,.. Congrats on the first car,.. your budget will restrict you to an older car,. and the need for adequate ground clearance will get most contenders off the short-list,. And you'll most likely end up with a transport solution older than you. Be prepared to spend time and money to get the thing back safely on the road. Best to find a good local garage and take what ever you get for a complete check up before you use it. Good insurance always advisable to have for a first car driver so keep the budget adjusted for that as well. Cheers. TT.
  7. Hi and Welcome to AL,. The 212 was not from 97' Yes the car you're asking of set new standards in Jap motoring until it was replaced with an, uglier replacement. Keep in mind this generation of car is more than 2 decades old and you're not getting a spring chicken,.. Good luck finding a usable example,.. TT.
  8. Hi welcome, check if your has diesel contamination, and change it. then go for the pressure regulator+ pump for the e.oil.

  12. Make sure the battery does not overflow with charging, and keep the battery cover+ bonnet open for the volatile gases to disperse,.. Your car has a jumbo, expensive battery. it's important to keep it in good condition, specially if you are a light user . get your car a trickle/float charger,.. TT.

  14. There was a thread of oil consumption before, have you considered the age and mileage of the car?
  15. Entire system check needed,. First, turn on engine and a/c and make sure all cooling fans are functioning. Hose down the condenser.+check the electrical connections to compressor and drier.

  21. Hi, and welcome to AL. Considering the auto trans and our traffic, driving with the a/c, - not bad. Having said that, could be made better. TT.
  22. Hold everything ! Since you're not living on the north pole, your car needs help. Your car needs an auto electrician. the rad fan should interdependently turn on to cool the rad with the A/C is off. don't over heat your engine , as you'll have mega head aches,..? Seek help from a Good auto electrician Good luck. TT.

  25. You may have a slight bind causing the 10 min loss of br pressure and normal operation when it cools down. TT.
