    Your thermostat valve has been removed by a local bas for sure. Better get one installed for better performance and low wear and tear in cold weather.Probably you may get one from the Agent or tech motors at panchi.

    CVT gear boxes were available at a recon spare parts shop at hill street at Dehiwala some time back. i can't remember the name of the shop.

    Dear Bro, Don't go for TOA paint ,It will peel off with the high temp. Either you go for heat ressistant paint as Ripper told or chrome plating as hardana advised. Heat resis. paint is bit expensive and available at marine paint shops .

    My advice is not to go for a floating interest rate these days. Tendency is always to increase the interest rate day by day.

    I had the same issue with my ek3 some years back and found thermo stat switch was faulty and fan did not work.

    go for es8 or es 5 .Both are non cvt (YOM after 2004).

    Also beware of floating. Once I got floated for a while on Base Line when a bus went fast on the inner lane.You loose the control totally.

    Bro go for a 4 door car like ae81 and could find one for more or less the same price. Also you can find a honda eg8 with in your budget.

    yes you can't change to higher gears as You want in new cars unless it reaches to the correct speed. Down shifting is auto.

    Genuine mounts are bit expensive. I got chaned tow mounts in my es1 about 2 years ago and cost me 5500 Rs for one mount.

    Better you go for swift because I experienced the rattling noise of passo's steering rack and i hate it. I have driven a swift and its very smooth. Fuel wise passo is better. It does 10-11 km/Lt for short distance.(1300 cc )

    My wife uses a Demio daily and it does 10km/lt for short distance trvelling. Never checked long distance. She bought it for 25.5 lacks in last July(YOM 2007). So far no issue, Fairly good pulling power and nice shape. It is comming with two types of gear boxes. CVT one does more on fuel. Those days Tax for 3 year old car was around 13 lacks. agent is car mart but they don't import Demios to my knowledge but spare parts are available at panchi.

    In some area like near Liberty Plaza and MC area, remotes are not working due to strong HF waves I think.
