  1. Doubt it. But by god, who wouldn't want a pocket sized Ford Anglia?
  2. Fond memories of an acquaintance receiving flack for buying a Daihatsu Boon (plot twist: the Toyota Passo is a badge engineered Daihatsu). But yes, there's nothing wrong with the Mazda Carol, unless you mean one from the 60's in which case I will promptly buy it from whoever is selling it.
  3. Very VERY rare Toyota Publica Starlet on another site. Search for Starlet with no filters and keep scrolling. You'll know when you see it.

  4. More or less. Firstly removing the air via a bleed screw on each wheel and then topping up with brake fluid.
  5. The air filter might need a bit of cleaning.
  6. Just stick a G Superior badge on it call it a day. Any idiot will buy it.
  7. tl;dr. Straight Outta Compton, Garm Wars and Nightcrawler.
  8. Mistook the new Discovery for a facelifted Evoque. Why is LR going the way of BMW? I mean I spent a good 40 minutes with the vehicle in the rear view, and it wasn't until it over took me I saw that it was a Disco.

  9. If you read the comments in the video, the poster of the video states that he got the issue fixed.
  10. Had this happen with my Vios. Left rear bearing was shot. Remove the wheel and spin the suspected hub by hand, you will feel a grating sensation as opposed to a tight but smooth movement. Or better take it to your garage and ask the mechanic to check it.
  11. Can't tune them above 90 ne. Otherwise I would jump on a 2 din Clarion with MD and CD built in.
  12. I suggest you save up a bit and avoid a chinese one. My new car has a chinese stereo and it is absolute crap; the bluetooth mic isn't sensitive enough for hands free operation, the phone's contact list does not sync with it, no RDS for FM stations, and it won't even properly read tags from MP3 files.
  13. Nice. I'd like to see what your experiences are with it, especially on the camera and usability side. I got the Galaxy S6 because of the sick, sick camera. I mean I can't stress enough how good the camera is, especially all the point'n'shoot like features it has. And omg, the low light performance. Here's a collage of some shots straight from the gallery, no filters apart from tweaking camera settings i.e. exposure, ISO, etc.
  14. I have a friend with a face lift N16, what everyone calls the N17 even though no such designation exists. I'll check with him on this and get back to you.
  15. The issue could be a number of things. There is probably an issue with the LCD inverter where it takes a while to "warm up". I've experienced it myself, having replaced a few laptop and LCD monitor inverters in the past. It could be a trace or solder joint, the heat from being left switched on is just enough to bridge the gap to make it work again. Electronics are extremely iffy when it comes to things like this. I suggest you replace the stereo with a good brand name one, like a Kenwood or Pioneer.
  16. Doubt it. You will need a regular 2 DIN sized one.
  17. Whoever told you that the LCD in a car stereo uses up a ton of power was probably smoking something or just simply uninformed. If your stereo has the disc loader behind the screen, it's a safe bet that the flexible cable is acting up. Or like mentioned earlier, the backlight inverter. If your battery was bad to the extent that it affected the radio, then you wouldn't be able to start your car, and your lights would be dim.
  18. Should we change the thread topic?
  19. Remember when cars had no computers and we knew the exact reason why the engine shut off?
  20. I've been able to switch on both filaments when I pull the stalk, I attribute that to two sets of contacts for the two relays which are independently activated. As for the dimming thing, I dunno. Are the low beams meant to be lit when the high beams are on? My Axio has both lit at the same time when I push or pull the stalk.
  21. Apologies for the size of the screenshot, I uploaded it via the Mi3, did not realize tinypic kept the original resolution. And yes, this thing really is quite stable, obviously some things (camera, speaker, etc) aren't going to be quite up to par with more expensive phones, but it is a solid piece of kit, and plenty powerful.
  22. So I bought a backup phone today in the form of a Xiaomi MI3. For 25k, I got a Snapdragon 800, 2gb, Full HD IPS and a 3100mah battery. As a bonus, it's officially supported by Cyanogenmod. Not the slimmest phone around, but so easy to work on. I broke and repaired the SIM slot within 5 hours of buying it. Taking it apart is incredibly easy as there is no GLUE! Just pop 10 screws a bunch of tabs.
  23. These keys can't be copied, which is why they are so expensive.
  24. I got this sound when I had my Vios. I couldn't press the button on the shifter without pressing the brake pedal, the click is the shifter button unlock mechanism.
