I vote for a Corolla wagon if you want peace of mind. Like MD said, they're great work horses and they have tons of parts. Since travel is a major aspect I'm assuming you want to keep downtime to a minimum. They're also easy to get rid of when the time comes. Also consider the Y10 AD Wagon, which are even cheaper. -

90+ aren't known for their longevity, rather their increased output (up to 90% extra over regular 55/60 bulbs). In fact, Nightbreakers were notorious for their short lifespan till the Plus variety came along.

As a rule, bring your own refreshments to outdoor events. My biggest problem last year was finding a loo, luckily I had a ticket for the music festival and they had porta-potties.

eh? all variants of the Vitz SCP10 have timing chains, not belts. Are you sure your car is a Vitz? If you mean the pattern of the serpentine accessory drive belt, you need to figure out what your engine is; if it's the 1 liter, then it's a 1SZ-FE, if it's the 1.3 then most probably 2NZ-FE, I have to see one with a 2SZ-FE.

I wonder how much effort one would have to go through to get one in RHD. I remember the Mexican Beetle could be ordered in RHD right up to the end. Edit: After reading TFA, I don't think they'd work in SL. There's an interior shot showing a sticker with the wording 'Fuel E100', which I'm sure is 100% ethanol.

Remote mounted turbo, commonly used in cars which have no space in the engine bay to accommodate a turbo. I first came across phenomenon with the Pontiac GTO/Holden Monaro turbo setup.
