I sometimes wonder if these three wheel guys intentionally misspell things as a joke and to gain attention On a different note, i'm pretty sure it takes much more than 'muscle speed, co-ordination and response' to become a good race drive. If not ANY pro athlete will be a good contender to be a champion racer.

Komi my point was knowing the great lengths you went to make the car look what it is right now, the pass (due to its size) for me came across as a bit of an eye sore. That’s it. I have no issues with doctors, lawyers, wanabe VIPs displaying passes on their windshields. As you have rightfully put it, it is a vocational privilege and there’s no reason for you not to be proud to have one after all the hard work you out in to become one (a doctor I mean).

Congrats ZUL on your new ride. Since MD brought up teh subject, out of curiosity how much does a Merc W219 goes for these days? Audi A7 is not a bad replacement for the CLS. Something new for you to dream about maybe.

Am i the only one who thinks that big-a*s doctors pass on the windshield is an eyesore? Specially since every kolla and balla these days seems to have one.

What Would Be The Best Selection For Permit

iRage you are correct GX-R is the Land Cruiser 200 or what locals call the Sahara. 5.7 V8 variant I believe is only offered in Middle East and North American markets. Total overkill IMO. Americans and their fondness for big-a*s engines I guess (and Arabs fondness in doing everything Americans do lol). I read somewhere one of the main reasons the Mitsu Montero/Pajero was a flop in NA was due to the sub 4 liter engine it was offered with. -
You and your quest for build the perfect meat roasting machine makes us fellow meat lovers look like vegans lol. Good point. You may get a special discount on the days that dam things broken which is prety much every day lol.

If two avid moto riders (ripper and you) agree with the concept of DRL enhancing rider safety who am i to come up with theories. Out of curiosity in Singapore is DRL mandatory for cars as well? When i first read about this i assumed this was another bright idea that came out from the backside of a police big wig, like the full face helmet fiasco.
-
Dude i know the lights are used to warn/notify others about your presences. My point was most of the western countries use DLR due to the different climate conditions they face in a 12 month cycle where as over here in SL we don't see that much of a drastic difference. Since it doesn't cost much to have DRLs on i guess why not. Motorcyclist have nothing to loose by adopting this but everything to gain.

Ripper, what kind of dooms day device are you planning on making now???? lol

What Would Be The Best Selection For Permit
xXx replied to Dhanushkapg's topic in General Automotive
iRage are you implying a person should get a SUV, ONLY if he's planning on doing softcore or hardcore off roading? What's wrong with choosing a SUV over a sedan or a minivan solely based on aesthetics? Similar to how someone may prefer a brunet over a blond. -
I don't see how this law can be that effective in SL due to two reasons. 1) throughout the year it s very bright during the day time 2) throughout the year sun sets at a constant time period (between 5:30 - 6:30?) Saying that, people over here wear helmets and seat belts because its the law not because it save their OWN life. Hence i somewhat have to agree with Don, How many of us use running lights during low visibility times i.e. during monsoon rain, early mornings etc?
-
Lakshan care to run us though the though process behind going for a brand new car? If it is due to you been entitled for a car permit, then why not 1) import a one year old car? 2) Sell the permit and buy a used car from the local market (say not older than 3 years from year of manufacture, and the new budget is 2.5 + price of a permit)? Floor is open to everyone to discuss on the two 'other' options. Sticking to the 2.5 mil budget what are the OPs options under above two categories? As The Don has mentioned it is astonishing how little a 2.5 mil budget stretches these days. Just want to get an idea what other alternatives are present for a buyer in the current market.

Komi, did you actually end up making some money coz of the mishap? Bought for $350, refund 250,000 or am i missing something here?

Interesting... Thanks for the links Peri. Following kapruka's strategy, can i setup a transport business to supply prostitutes from pimps to clients. When i get busted i can always say i am in the transport business ROFLMAS

kapruka is pretty renowned for 'palm greasing', Didn't they recently get busted for selling alcohol with out a license?

Talking about airports, Spanish ghost airport is up for grabs for 1/10 the cost. http://www.cnn.com/2013/12/10/travel/spanish-ghost-airport/index.html And this just sounds way too familiar

I think this got nothing to do with vehicle owners been all high and mighty. Its simply a convenience thing. No similar to how you can order stuff right from your at Pilla or Shanthi Vihar.

Wasn't there an issue with water been mixed with gasoline at the fuel station by St. Bridgets few years ago? I guess all is good now or did the management change?

Free Gps Navigator For Android (Mapfactor Navigator)
xXx replied to newone's topic in DIY (Do-It-Yourself)
I think these 3 options doesn't apply that much when navigating in SL. Shortest normally means route with the shortest distance. Fastest option keeps you in a highway for as long as possible, theory been you can travel at a much greater speed when on a highway Cheapest option keeps you off of toll roads and bridges -
HardHat, you have a point but it’s unfair to put the blame solely on JRJ. According to your theory we should blame the Chinese for all the gun violence that’s taking place at present just because they invented gun powder (which they initially used for firework displays). Yes JRJ opened up the economy, 3 decade ago. But isn’t it the duty and responsibility of the subsequent rulers to control the flow of imports in the form of taxes and levy’s. The harsh truth is none of the post 77 governments had a clear vision for the countries economy. Sadly this was demonstrated again during yesterday’s budget proposal. While casinos are exempted from all forms of taxes, there a 2% nation building tax imposed on bank loans and telecom chargers. Last year there was big hoo haa about making a sports economy, can someone please tell me what progress we’ve made on this front in the past 12 months? (other than a certain individual importing a Areal Atom)

Out of curiosity, When you say hand painted what's the process involved? What are the other options involved when it comes to applying anti corrosive?

My man, you have chartered in to a very complex territory. You are comparing apples to oranges. In this case government bonds to commercial loans. Only similarity between the two are both are ways of obtaining debt. Mind you debt is a good thing if used appropriately (if you disagree we should stop this conversation right now and go opposite ways). Keeping things very simple, money obtained by the US Treasury by selling bonds are mainly used to fund numerous social programs i.e medicare/medicaid (let’s not forget obamacare), social security, education and the list goes on. Benefits of these programs are reaped by the general public and in return they make a positive contribution to the economy (i’m not ruling out the fact there’s corruption and wastage, that is simply a part and parcel of politics). Now compare that with how we are spending the Chinese money (do I really need to spell it out here). Do you have any idea about the difference between the interest we are paying for our loans (which are spent on inefficient projects) and the rates on treasury bond yields? And do you know why the treasury bond rates are so low? Or why the Chinese actually buy vast quantities of US bonds? Two main reason for the last question is, to artificially devalue the Yuan to ensure Chinese goods stay competitive and to maintain a trade imbalance between US and China. And because China buy US bonds by the bucket load its keeping the interest rates down resulting in cheaper borrowing cost for US. This cheap debt is injected to social programs and the cycle goes on. Yes the US has made a blunder with its debt (thank you Bush administration and Alan Greenspan for deregulating the markets) but lot of good has come out of it too. Let’s see if we can do the same with our share of Chinese money.

Hmmm.. you got a point there. When you first mentioned about the conversion my first impression was, here's a 'glorified' mazda bongo engine transplant lol. Anyway, any reason why the kit is only available for RX's?
