  1. I think Kimi was lucky. I nearly knocked the TV off when he seemed like he was stuck in neutral in the 2nd pit stop. I too think it will be Marc Gene.

Still trying. Not even one is totally complete or near perfect as yet. But as ever I live in hope
  3. Not lowered the 156 as yet. Will do with next service. Yes I feel the same way about the Giulia and the 'Fetta. Somehow the Giulia feels female and the Alfetta male. The latter a friend and the former the lover. .
  4. Huh !!! An clean pinch of our Ital club run a few months ago. Same drive, same location, same activity. Will send our account number so you can deposit royalties.

My tinker is sooooooooooo slow that I'm wondering that when he finishes one side the other side he's already done will be corroded again (It's a Sud remember ), and this will lead to a vicious cycle and my Sudsprint will be in restoration until the guy drops dead I think it is almost two years now....... Actually I'm not pushing too as fast work will mean cash depleting fast too.....

Looks menacing in Black CHAP! Let's have a look at your black beauty over the wkend.
  7. OT.....but Hashan is your 504 Diesel an original?
  8. I'm having regular carbon build up in the 156 throttle bodies. This has a serious effect on the performance. Had a very embarrassing moment when the car refused to climb a steep hill from standstill. The revs simply kept dropping. Not absolutely certain if it was because of the carbon build up or some other electronic glitch. Will check all at next service which is now due. My bro insists that there more carbon when he uses 95 and so has now switched to 90 for his 155. Anyways recently I've been noticing the cars performance and response has been varying regularly. This could be the inconsistency of the fuel we are getting?
  9. Congrats Master Don! I know the feeling too. I was in Bangkok last week and did some parts shopping myself. Got a set of brand new Del'Orto DHLA40's for my Giulia at a crazy price since they are old stock. Unpacked and looked at them TWICE in the hotel room . Just unpacked them here now again in my room and examined them again! Totally happy. Also got a set of brand new front parking/indicators lamps for the Alfetta - Just could not resist when I saw it. And a set of Sachs low springs for the 156! The thing is my list included other parts and none of this All mine were wrapped in newspaper. So no bubbles to pop
  10. Just got very curious after reading a rave article in a Classic car mag about the Pug 205 GTI. It seems every motoring journo is raving mad about the car. So it must be great. Anyone here has experienced? My hot hatch experience is quite limited. Prev Gen Civic Type R, Mk 6 Golf GTI and my 1980 Alfa Sud Sprint Veloce. Can't think of any other.......
  11. Has anyone watched Quintin Tarantino's "Death Proof"? I got a glimpse of the latter part recently. Seems interesting.
  12. Don't forget Trainspotting and Radiohead Great to have got a 6-pot. 170 horses can be no bad thing. Auto - don't worry, kick down really kicks ass. Btw what colour is this machine?
  13. Guys something very strange happened today while I was at the garage. A young bloke pulled up in a semi riced (chapatied? ) up Maruti 800. This one had chrome n black alloys and a slightly rude sounding exhaust. Well he walked up to the owner of the place and asked if he knew of any CK1s, CK2s or EK3s for sale! I was wondering if it could be our very own Maruti 800 fan!?
  14. Front - The front looks good. A lot better than the XF. In fact its the front that the XF should have had. I like caved in grilles a la Maser QP. Profile - I'm not so sure of the profile though. It's almost fastback-ish. I would have preferred an elegant 3-box sedan design. But this guy Ian Callum seems to be stuck with this Aston-esque rear end. Rear - OMG, I'm afraid the kindest words I have is - Korean designer on expired drugs!
  15. So our man's plan has gone horribly wrong. I guess he chose the wrong forum to promote a Maruti 800. There's one thing he could be right about though. The 800 needs modification. And lots of it, including a new engine and gearbox, a new interior, safety equipment and a styling update. All these mods need to be carried out by the factory though
  16. There are a few different sound absorption as well as heat deflection materials. Some have both properties.
  17. They did a presentation for the Classic car club. For the doors I think the rubberized spray might be a better bet.....
  18. Try Wurth. I am planning to get some under bonnet material from there as well. They have 3 different products, so you have a choice. Not cheap though....
  19. Hard to believe this. I know there was some speculation by Autocar a few months ago. But I doubt very much. There are better segments for Ferrari to go after like say a $150,000/- sports car, spiritual successor to the Dino. Should eat into top 911 sales. Alfa is definitely coming up with a Crossover (More a sleek Forrester than say Tourag or Disco). They would need some such car to crack the US mkt. Maser teased the public with the "Kubang" some years ago. That's more RR Sport I guess. Again to satisfy the US thirst. However with the recession and fuel crisis this could be on hold for now.
  20. Can't be MJ's ghost. I would've expected the ghost holding hands with a kid ghost
  21. Wow! Brilliant!!!!!
  22. I'm with Don on this. Any car can be modified/enhanced. Even a Morris Minor. In the UK many modify Moggies going as far as engine transplants with Rover K series and Fiat Twin Cam units. And let's not forget the Mini which started out as a small city car. People tart them up like there's no tomorrow these days. The question is "why?" does this guy want to modify a Maruti 800? Make it look better or go better? Or both...... Of course any performance upgrade has to go hand in hand with chassis improvements to handle that added oomph. Btw is the current Maruti 800 fuel injected or carbied?
  23. The question flashing on a multi coloured neon sign is WHY? Why do you want to modify one? Is it simply to make it look better or to enhance the performance and dynamics?
  24. I have only one word to say. But I cannot type it here.
  25. Its been around for a while. I used to see it around Negombo. However I think it was last week that I saw it in Colombo. It's a V6.
