  2. So you must be having d PWR and MAN buttons in your car rite? isnt it?
  3. well..it would be a good choice as a first car, having English plates, later YOM and carrying the 'Toyota' name, and as said above its very good on fuel as well. personally i do not know about the comfort of it, but surely better than of a Maruti, and i guess these cars do have good market as its low on budget and of the fuel economy. cant complain for its 4 doors, size and other comforts and d price. One of my friends actually purchased a Soluna today for 11 lakhs.

virensti - thats sad to hear..for some reason i was not comfortable with d Exide so went for a GS battery. anyways if its under warrenty period, you should get it changed, good if they will give back a other type of battery but i am not sure about that.. And let us know if you are able to find sealed batteries?

Hmmm..here we go: 1. Rebota Battery Shop, Moratuwa (Near the Bank of Ceylon - on the oppersit side/Land side) 2. Marine Drive - first Battery Shop which you get when your entering from the wellawatta-Ramakrishna Road- (on land side)
  6. well, in the first post he had mentioned that a engine repair has been done from the company too. wot more to be expected? i cant believe someone using a KIA SUV had to use such a crappy cheap oil..? paying a decent amount for the car it self. sad 2 hear these..
  7. As far as i know - this depends on the Engine technologies used, so earlier it was the carburetors, then EFI, then VVT-i and now even newer technologies are used with on going improvements so the latest models are to be lasted a lot longer. on the second note, its hard just to decide the engine condition from the mileage that had been done. it depends on how the engine had been maintained, and cared. simple example would be our selfs - depending on the food that we take - healthy or unhealthy, exercise we do, things we do will determine how well we would be isnt it? cant tell from the age nah? u can be older but at the same time be stronger if had well maintained. and petrol cars can go to 300-400K mileage without problem (if maintained good), and even more may be with a engine rebuild.
  8. Why cant you try a better oil for your car? Mobil, Castrol, Shell? why are you using cheap crap?

  17. AFAIK the 2.7CC VVT-i does well on fuel, and has considerable power without any issues given. have a 3.4CC version (non VVT-i) does only 4 - 5 in Colombo, but pulls lyk a sports car, believe me!
