Sam9 I would never ever recommend any other CVT oil for Honda EK3 CVT box (Multimatic). And leaving Honda original oil for some other brand will most likely cause severe damage for your gear box. Above discussed issues seems to be early signs of CVT gear box failures in EK3. Get it diagnosed properly before it's too late. And as Komi rightly said, changing oil only will not help to solve the problem. May be you'll feel good for couple of days but it will not solve it. As a Honda lover, EK3 is my personal favorite. And there are few good Vi and ViRS with CVT boxes left in the country. Please don't ruin them.

Guys this is not my type of question, but this time its purely for Business. So typical matters, like fuel economy and resale value does matter to me here. I'm looking for car to buy on a lease and rent it out. Budget is below 3M. And should have auto gears. These are the options came to my mind. These are the only main stream cars I picked up. Because requirement is decent fuel economy, auto gears, good resale value and some decent comfort. Toyota 121 - thought this is the best option Allion 1st generation - heard the resale value is not good as 121 Belta/Yaris - Seems next best option after 121. But heard some cars are 4WD. I initially thought 4WD thing ts a joke.. Nissan N17/Bluebird Silphy - heard fuel economy and resale value is not good Wingroad Y12 - what is the price range? Fiat fan - PM'd need some contacts and information on full lease.

Seems different people have different opinions and experience. So best thing is to take the car have have a chat with one or two and decide your self.

Actually in Year 1993 just after your vanette manufactured, scientists found a new planet orbiting near our planet earth, thus it had some gravitational pull or resistance where it affected the time, and as result time is going slower than it supposed to be. Therefore when you see someone travel in a Suzuki at 60Kmph, you can overtake them from your Vannette at same speed. Also if you are lucky enough you will be able to say cherio to them.. However by year 2008 vehicle manufactures found out the problem and the fixed it by adjusting the speedo. But there is not guarantee with will be a permanent solution as if the moon can fall down on your head any time and have a affect on you so that 1 second can be a 2 second in reality. If that is the case you will be able to over take your suzuki at speed of 30Kmph. Hope this clears your doubts.

Guys, need some basic information on starting up a service station. May be there are members who already run them or have contacts in this field. And I know it’s a large investment so feasibility study and lots of preparation is required. Any inputs from automobile enthusiast here would not go in vain. At this point I am keener in getting to know about the environmental and legal side of it. One side of the land is a water stream and other side is main road. Is it only me who smells something fishy here. Its a treasure hunt in one way, Isn't it. And giving a private email to send details of such cars... ???? I'm sure true enthusiasts in Sri lanka doing better job in preserving those old gems and hunting them down to bring them back to life. note: Not trying to be negative on this initiative, but we hardly see genuine effort if Gov officials involved in these things, without financial gain.

Another option is finding a pvt company such as a Banking, Telecommunications, construction, etc and use it for staff/office trasportation, They will hire it with driver and fixed monthly payment + OT and additional payment on usage. Usually its a one year or 2 year contract.

If you search the forum there are plenty of information on EK3 various trims. However if you are going for either ViRS or Vi multimatic gear box get it inspected thoroughly. If the performance is the only thing check here is the order. EK3 Sir (EK4) EK3 ViRS EK3 Vi (I would select manual Vi over auto ViRS) EK3 Exi EK3 Lev, Mi ..(more economy oriented)

thanks crosswind, so if it's customs auction, still it will be a legit car isn't it. Next thing is, how practical it to be used as a daily runner. Let’s assume fuel economy not a major issue but should be 7-8 Kmpl in City. According to my friend it’s auto gear with H22A or similar engine. As it’s an enthusiast’s car, will it be un movable to new hands after few years. Here I’m not talking about resale value.

Guys I heard there is a Prelude BB8, unregistered car is available for sale. And owner has said its a harbor auction. What is the suitable price for such a car, owner said the registration will cost about 3laks. I am in search of an upgrade for my car and heard the news about this Prelude.

this is my 2 cents. 1. Affordability - covers, all money, responsibilities, family, priorities, etc 2. Purpose - daily runner, weekends, goods and people transportation Once above two fullfills it's time for collections, hence, 3. All types of collections based in your taste. If one can afford only a single car, he'll have to find the correct balance. In my case, my affordability is 1, But my plan is to go for little old BMW, and may be a small jeep or double cab as a work horse.

Just came to my mind.. Komi, are you adding the spoiler too? Original Type R has the spoiler. So adding that would not make it a rice. And what about the front lip? AFAIK Type R does not have a front lip. I'm not sure exact purpose that it serve, may be helping with Air resistance. But it's one addition that could enhance beauty of the car. I don't think that would make it a ricer car.

I don't recommend to keep the car in any place. There are so many alternatives available these days. Like to see the the OPs ad in A/L, and what car you wanted to sell at what price?
