Yes I think so. Because there were some pictures online that can identify some brownish substance mixed. BTW, are they still distributing this stock or have they stopped? -
Guys I need help in finding alloy wheel/lug nut. It is Allen nut type. One of the wheel nut doesn't fix the Allen key properly, so wheel brace skips when try to remove the nut. The issue came suddenly at service station. And I noticed there are some other nuts also have some wear and free play. I checked at two main alloy wheel shops in kandy and some other shops, but they don't have this type of nuts. Does anyone know specific place i can find them. Also how about the things in ebay. my spare nut has M12XP1.50 printed on it. Can I use size 12X1.5MM nuts is it same size?

That is what I hear too. It was clear road before the bend and they would've seen it and deside to stop.

Its very sad how media act on public issues these days. Step by step media institutions moving away from contraversal news which might end up them puting under the wrath of rulers. -
What i heared is the gentlemen left the party in kandy and has travelled to Kurunegala with in about 20 - 30 mins. So average speed could've been over 100-120 Kmph. And he was not drunk either. Yesterday i passed this place, and its a heavy bend similar to we have in Kadugannawa near the tunnel. Any speed closer to 100Kmph or above will defenily going to be deadly.

Same thing happened to my friends FB15. Check your break pedal, there should be small switch connected to pedal. If that is broken this can happen.

One of my friend in search of FB14 diesal auto gear box. gear box model is some thing like SD20. He has searched kurunegala, but couldn't not find it. Does anybody knows any places/contacts for auto gear boxes.

Take ur vehicle to a ground or some where you can drive freely and get used to pedals and stuff.

Not 100% sure.. but after repair now alternator has more resistance as it start recharging your battery. This can have slight impact on RPM.

No no i dint mean that. I'm sure they are doing quite great helping members. Also must say that its is the most active club i've seen here. So hats off to guys at Honda club for running it at that scale specially sacrificing their time and energy. I just didn't got any feedback for email in the website, and may be i've too lazy to follow up on it too. However even i've personaly spoken to some of the members there and got help including Racersedge.

Some time back I emailed them couple of times to get details, but didn't got any reply. But so far didn't had any problem getting help here or other vehicle related stuff done. Since i'm not a party animal I guess i'll be fine on my own.

I had the same issue about a month back. Did what miniace suggested. In short distance nothing happens. But when I was stuck in traffic and using A/C the temperature goes up. I issue was coolant not going back to radiator from reservoir tank. And observed reservoir tank getting over flowed. Changed the radiator cap and problem solved.

If you set temperature very low during night you will have mist in the outside of windscreen. I have faced this and just use the wipers. If it is inside, just set the temperature arournd 25C and direct the air floor to windscreen.

Same pictures received today via email with a note saying driver and passenger injured or died with serious burns due to high voltage in the car. but doesn't look like any fire involved.

IMO: I don't think it's statistically a fact. It's just we give more attention when someone survived in an accident and even more when he or she doesn't wear the seatbelt. It makes news only when some thing not happened as it supposed to be. Accident -> wearing seat belt -> No casualties -> less attention -> not news Accident -> Not wearing seatbelts -> No casualties -> Survivor -> Hot news

I don't bother about that either. But if I say so the OP will be so dissapointed.

15kmpl to 13 kmpl it is hell of drop.. i guess you take it to A*W and do a proper check. By the way.. i thought oil change interval is 5000Km why you wait till 8000Km??

One of my friend had the same issue where ABS light coupled with some other light in his FB14. His ABS did not worked at all, however seller tricked him by the wiring change. He got to know about it when he was travel down a hill and rear ended another car by sliding after apply the break. Also another guy met at the service station where his Hyundai Acsent's ABS light was removed. Get your wiring corrected and check the ABS system.

Guys I have a problem with engine heat need some opinions. All started when a friend of mine dropped me home after a party, he drove the car about 15Km. Next day when I return home and stop the engine i noticed engine is boiling but heat gauge is normal. So I checked the reserve tank noticed its gone below min level. And i top-up it. Next day issue came again I can hear the water boils, but reserve tank was full. Yesterday I climbed Kadugannawa with A/C on.. noticed temp. Gauge goes up so I switch on the heater wait few mins. It went back to normal. Checked today morning radiator is full, reserve coolant level gone down by 1cm - 2cm. Observations 1- No visible leaks in the system & coolant level hasn't dropped significantly after initial top-up. 2- Pressure cap allows coolant to transfer to reserve tank, but I doubts it works other way (reserve tank to radiator) 3- Can see some coolant vapor/marks near the reserve tank cap (reserve tank getting over flowed???) 4- Fan seems working when engine heat is up, but what if it does not start on time? I am thinking of of 2 things. Pressure cap malfunction or heat sensor/fan does not working properply. Also where the heat sensor located what is the connection between coolant temperature sensor and heat sensor?

If you don't see any irregular tyre wear and issue comes only in high speeds most common issue is wheel balancing.

Will Hybrids Fail Or Succeed In Sri Lanka?
MkX replied to Californikan's topic in General Automotive
Well i voted for succeed.. and this is my first direct comment regarding hybrids among all the uncountable threads came on last couple of months (if i remember correct). I vote keeping aside all the trolling, politics, tax reductions, inflation, .... etc. Looking at current global and possible fuel crisis in 100s of years to come, alternate fuel sources or maximize efficiency in left over fuel is a must and I don't think will be an option in generations to come. -
I got this interesting article on Minis on today's BBC news. Just thought of sharing.. the rest of the article also worth the reading (marketing guys may already knows the story). How Unilever, Coke and the Mini car got it so wrong

Few questions coming to my mind.. didn't you took someone who is more knowledgeable about cars before buy this on your own? And what did seller said.. this is original manual ViRS? who is the seller? Any way what is done is done.. what are the current issues you have in this car? Has the conversion done properly?
