  1. I dont think I have ripped off. As I cannot get even a cheapest seat cover set for 4000/=. End of the day I got a good seat cover set for 3140/=. Thats All. Side Note : You should use remaining 85% of your Brain. Other wise it will be sludged...
  2. Thanks Don..
  3. If we changing from one oil type to another ( Eg : Brand / Velocity / SAE Rating ). can we just remove the old oil from sump and fill the new oil?
  4. I fixed a seat cover set for 4000/= By Aj*th Motors. While it was fixing, they have broken two clips of rear seat cushion. So I pay only 3000/= and asked them to bring me the new clips and pay the balance and went. I was waiting for two days, they didn’t respond. So bought two clips for only 140/= by A*W. But I was wondering why they gave up the 1000/=, by selling seat covers are they have more profit than 1000/=?
  5. Happy Birthday....!
  6. Hatharasinghe, How is the focusing and Low/High Beam ratio of newly installed HIDs. Is it better than the existing halegons?
  7. Try this once, remove fulel lid before start the engine.
  8. found it on the Davy's Link: http://www.motortraffic.gov.lk/web/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=123&Itemid=149〈=en If the owner of the vehicle confirms that the engine of a vehicle has been repaired, a receipt is issued by charging the annual revenue licence fee so that the vehicle could be run on the condition of completing 2000 kilometres forward from the number of kilometrers depicted on the milometer of the vehicle or 02 months forward from the date of repair of the engine, whichever comes first. Once that condition has been met the owner of the vehicle should obtain the revenue licence by producing the vehicle emission certificate.

  13. I am using Alto K10. I bought it on last January. at that time the price was 165,3000/=. But I think 2.3M for an Indian made alto is not worth.
  14. as the 2T oil is using inside the core, then the 2T Oil should be different from the standerd engine lubricating oil? If so, should it have some addactive, to burnt it easily with the fuel as well as lubricating the piston walls? otherwise it will deposit oil inside the core.
  15. Dude, Could you explain why two strock engines use the 2T oil with petrol. are there any relation to what sylvy was saying?
  16. Two of my office colleagues have ordered manual one on last November and Auto one on last September. The both have been called yesterday for paying for the balance amount for the delivery of vehicle. The Agent asked them, that it will take another two weeks for the delivery Check with your sales guy. Most probably the vehicle may just have arrived.
  17. It is on heavy traffic, mostly on 1st / 2nd & 3rd gear, hardly on 4th gear (Battaramulla to Boralla) With A/C, But have to switch off the A/C (not the fan) time to time when driving in the morning/night as the blowing air is too cold
  18. I am driving Alto K10 1000CC. only 750Km have done at the moment. using 95 Octane, calculated fuel consumption on heavy traffic by full tank to full tank method. got only around 12.5Km/l.
  19. Try this, This is seems to be maka-bass solution. But try this open the engine room hood, start the engine, set temp knob to maximum cool, set the blower fan to 3rd position, turn on the A/C, ( when you switch on the A/C you will notice the the compressor clutch engaging ) leave the car for 2-3 minutes. Then slowly turn the temp knob to middle position. At that time if you notify, the compressor is de-engaging according to the temp knob adjustment, and then your car is probably has an A/C temp controller. Mean time the A/C compressor will de-engage by itself due to reaching its cutoff cool. You have to avoid this scenario. Please let me know the result as I am also driveling an Alto-K10. Normally I switch off the A/C switch when I feel too cold. J my previous experiences Corolla KE72 DX Wagon: it does not has A/C switch, it only has an A/C knob in addition to the Temperature control lever. When it set to the maximum cool position, the compressor start to engage, and it is responding according to the A/C knob. Corolla EE102: it only has two switches called A/C & Econ, you have only two cooling options. The econ mode is bit less cooler than A/C mode.
  20. Hi Rameez, I don’t know the quality of the Indian Highways is better than Sri Lanka’s E01. But In India All the Highways have mostly occupied with Indian made vehicles. Specially Muruti. You May surf YouTube for several videos regarding individual road test done by Indian made vehicles on Indian highways. I agree with you, Speed above 140Km/h could not be handled by small vehicles. It is common regardless of country of origin. Speed of 100Km/h, there should be ok for any vehicle which properly maintained in a fair weather condition. .
  21. This was recommended by Ripper sometimes back. I never visit this guy as I have done by the other way. But many A/L members has recommended him Darley road Ruwan near the fire brigade. Rexton motors is the name. http://forum.autolanka.com/index.php?/topic/10688-security-system/page__p__154160__hl__+fire%20+brigade__fromsearch__1#entry154160
  22. S*n L*nka 13800/= only for rear doors, but no control option for driver. as they mentioned this is a promotional offer. otherwise it will be around 15,500/=. there are few shops adjoining to the S*n L*nka they will probablty do the same with lower cost.
  23. Dear NRX, I think you are not aware of how is the mechanism of an A/C compressior. Please read the following article on this regards. I am aloso thinking the issue is related to the lelectrical system, may be wornout A/C swith, burnt fues or even some damege to the wires by rats wht don said is exactly right. www.ehow.com/how-does_5022459_ac-compressor-clutch-work.html
