    Axio 2008 Issues

My personal advise is to stay away from using strong chemicals on any interior surface. Clean with a soft, damp cloth and wipe dry. Use a sun visor when parking out in the sun. For leather surfaces, occasionally apply a good leather conditioner to keep them from losing the texture and cracking.

    Axio 2008 Issues

Why are you using "leather care" liquid on your rexin/plastic dashboard?
  4. Damn... I was busting my brains trying to figure out where I have seen that vent. Well done iRage!
  5. Welcome to the forum! The problem could be as small as a loose connection (which is interrupting the signal from the impact sensor at the front) or as worse as the car being involved in a serious frontal (which might have caused the airbags to deploy) and then the repair job was not done properly. First of all, ensure that car has not been in an accident. If this is genuinely a random electrical issue, then you can probably ask the seller to get a quote from Unit3d Mot0rs indicating how much the repair will cost you. Based on that you can work out a deal with him. Keep in mind that the SRS components might not be available elsewhere and you might have to rely solely on the agents, in which case prices might be high. Just my 2 cents.
  6. Congratulations on your first car. Please search the forum by following the "how to" guide in this thread. There are many many threads on the forum about GPS and Navigation systems that you will find helpful. I cannot think of any disadvantages of installing a GPS system unless you are deliberately trying to get lost or if you find the "GPS lady" annoying.
  7. I was just about to write a whole heap of instructions from memory, but did a quick Google search to see if there's a YouTube video around with instructions. And I found one. Please note that this is for the front doors, but the process is identical for the rear doors as well. After the screws have been removed, you have to separate the door card from the body by pulling on it with a bit of force. The door card actually "hangs" from the top and you have to lift it off the door. To put it back, just do the steps in reverse order and you are good. Don't forget to reconnect the power window switch. Good luck!
  8. You're welcome! And thanks for getting back to us. Since water was sitting inside your door for quite some time, surface rust might have formed inside the door. The door actually has a thick layer of rust protection on the bottom part, but this too might have given way. You can easily take the door cards out and examine this yourself. Let me know if you need step by step instructions on how to remove them on your CS3 and I will let you know.
  9. If you are up for it, you can repair this yourself. Pretty much the same process I followed for the door pulls (as shared in this thread). If there are parts that are totally cracked and detached, you can use a two part glue like Araldite to re-attach them.
  10. Correct! It's a 1970s Nissan Cedric R330. Take the floor mate. Answer accepted because they're pretty much the same. Schiffer beat you to it though.
  11. Nope. Looks similar to the Skyline though. By the way, do we have C110 Skylines in Sri Lanka?
  12. If your rim size is 14", then both the tyre sizes you have specified will fit your rim without an issue. It's the overall diameter of the entire wheel that changes and cause the aforementioned side effects. 175/55R 14 means: 1. The width of the tyre is 175mm 2. The height of the sidewall is 55% of the width (175*(55/100)mm) 3. R is for Radial 4. 14 is the compatible rim size in inches, in this case 14 inches Are your tyres properly inflated and are your shock absorbers and other suspension components in good order? You should first check if your car's suspension has an issue before thinking of changing tyre sizes. If your wheels are out of alignment, they are in constant tension at all times and this is felt, especially when the car travels over rough surfaces.
  13. Was your car battery replaced recently? The power window system bulbs flash when the system has been disconnected. If I remember correctly, It needs to be reset by pulling each power window switch up and holding it for 5 seconds while the ignition is on. Maybe someone on the forum who has done this can let you know the exact procedure.
  14. Nope. Not a Ford .
  15. I believe "balloon size" is a local term that refers to the width of the tyre (the width of the surface that comes into contact with the road) and not the height of the sidewall. Therefore, going for a tyre with a larger "balloon size" will not increase ground clearance. Increasing the overall size of the wheel shouldn't be done randomly. There will be side effects starting from your speed o' meter showing an incorrect reading (and thereby the ODO clocking incorrectly) to suspension issues such as the wheel touching the wheel well when the steering is on full lock. If one or more of your tyres have uneven wear, that means there is something wrong with your wheels or your car's suspension. For starters, get a wheel alignment and balancing done. Going for new tyres while the car's suspension is out of alignment will cause your new tyres to wear out quickly.
  16. Wow, No one?
  17. lol yes!
  18. I never got to play Mafia 2. This just makes me want to! After how Mafia 1 ended, I can't seem to think of a way of how they connected the stories. Guess I'll have to play and find out. I remember there was this race on the original Mafia game which was almost impossible to win. I must have played that mission for days and days just to win the race. After I finally made it to the next mission, I found out from a friend that there is an easier way to win the race. Not going to spoil it for those who have not played it yet.
  19. Yay! Thanks for starting this again tiv! EDIT: Okay since no one seems to be taking the turn, here you go. Making it as difficult as possible because I have heavily under-estimated you guys on this thread in the past.
  20. 99% sure that there is water inside one or more of your doors due to the small drain holes being blocked. Take a small piece of metal wire and insert it to each drain line on the doors. Water should start pouring out from the doors that have blocked drains.
  21. Couldn't agree more. One of the best games I have ever played. Still remember some quotes from the game. So much action and emotion. Loved it!
  22. First of all, we already have a thread specific for Viva Elite Spoiler here and we also have a Viva Elite Community thread here as well. Please search before opening new threads. Secondly, most spoilers require drilling the body to install it. This doesn't mean that the car will start to corrode from where it was drilled. If the job was done properly, the drilled hole has to be painted (preferably with the body colour or something close) so that no bare metal is exposed. The surface on the spoiler that comes into contact with the body needs to be secured with double-sided tape. The tape prevents water from leaking into the gap between the spoiler and the body and into the car through the mounting hole. Finally, installing the spoiler isn't that complicated, all you really need is an electric drill, a set of basic tools and patience. More here. I was searching for a spoiler for my father's Demio on eBay and came across this excellent video about how to install it. The method used to locate where to drill (using cardboard stencils) is a great idea. Wish I had seen this at the time I did mine.
  23. Remove one bulb and take it as a sample. Check the ones they give you to make sure they're the right ones. Not sure if both bulbs (on one side) are double filament or not. Make sure before you buy.
  24. The white Presea is in a significantly darker environment as well. So the light can be seen as brighter. The tail lamps should be 12v 21/5w ones I think, so you can maybe pull one out and see if the bulbs on the car are correct (wrong bulbs maybe the cause of a dimmer light). The rating should be engraved on the base of the bulb. Tungsten bulbs shouldn't fade over time in theory. You can also check if the tail light housing is dirty on the inside. A small leak can lead to carbon deposits building up on the inside of the housing that gives it a "smoked" look. This can cause the lights to look dimmer. Your lights look like they are pretty okay.
  25. Sorry for bumping up this thread. Thought of updating it with the manuals for the Lancer RalliArt (2009 onwards). Some of the manuals here might be useful for Lancer EX (and Evolution X) owners as well. http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/17191-mitsubishi-lancer-ralliart/#entry282923
