There are many threads which you might be able to get info from, this has been discussed about kindly go through all these threads. http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/15799-tint-level-the-ideal-matching/?hl=tint http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/14974-3m-tint/?hl=%2Bglass+%2Btint#entry237151 http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/13810-tint-glasses/?hl=%2Bglass+%2Btint#entry210536 http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/10936-what-do-u-think-about-3m-tint/page-3?hl=%2Bglass+%2Btint#entry180582 http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/10668-tinted-glass/?hl=%2Bglass+%2Btint#entry153631 http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/10252-whats-the-advantage-on-3m-tint-compared-to-a-normal-tint/?hl=%2Bglass+%2Btint#entry146870 http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/8374-window-tints-whats-the-deal/?hl=%2Bglass+%2Btint http://forum.autolanka.com/topic/8297-tinted-glasses/?hl=%2Bglass+%2Btint#entry120190 even a normal search on Google (say : car tint Sri Lanka) gives you enough places call and find out the prices coz this can change from shop to shop
  2. @Crosswind - Is this a wise choice to buy? we had these cars given to the forces a long time back and it didn't fare well at all, fastest deteriorating car ever on the fleet
  3. @James: did you go though the threads that involved this subject before posting this?
  4. I do have a question on this won't all Hybrids depreciate much faster than a normal gasoline vehicle, since the battery usability goes low in time to come? So buying a hybrid won't be of sorts an investment since it will lose its value way faster
  5. I know this might be pointless now but how about having the car checked by a different place other than the manufacturer just to be on the safe side
  6. @Ricer - we are talking about a 28yr old car those are not the only things u should check you know, even 100kmph is enough. anyways next time around till you know the innards of your wheels well enough that is you have also checked them properly try not to have a lead foot. enough accidents have gone round
  7. Mate did u do enough inspection of the car suspension, brakes etc... before you thought of doing this 160kmph run on the highway??
  8. Found this handy little site which has indicator meanings while trying to answer on a another thread http://dashboardsymbols.com/the-symbols/ Plus it has an app too both in iOS and Android http://dashboardsymbols.com/smart-phone-apps/dashboardsymbols-smartphone-app/
  9. You sure u bought a new car??? anyways more about that EV system warning light as Jor-el was kind enough to mention is below, http://dashboardsymbols.com/2012/12/ev-electric-vehicle-system-warning-indicator/ This is an EV (Electric Vehicle) System Warning Indicator symbol. The image is of a rather generic automobile with an exclamation point embedded inside. For some EVs, this is the Check Engine Light. It indicates a possible problem in one or more of the following; the traction motor and inverter system, the charge port or charger, the lithium ion battery, the cooling system or the shift control system. Pretty much any system that allows the vehicle to move. Contact your dealer before attempting to drive further.

  12. @Ricer adee that looks good noh any images inside as well plus engine bay. Be patient i had to be too, IF you have anyone around Kurunagala too give them a shout. i'll have a call with the guys who had mine and let you know on Monday
  13. Don't mean to be rude on anything but do u think u could call few of these places like Ad**ce Aud*o, Pe**o, B*ra, S*nLa*ka which u could find the numbers by Googling and see what suits for your budget and then sort of post these units u can afford here and maybe someone here who just might have used it would be able to advice you. IF you do get these unit models you might be in a shot of finding sites that have reviewed those units and user opinions to buy what you want...
  14. I would say go for the CRV just coz its the least car i see on the road these days, all else are tuk tuks for me. and also u prefer a SUV so why not... we can all get bothered n tell you what to buy but best is to get your self to the agents or a car joint and have a test drive IF possible and see if you like it or not.
  15. @GajaYa - Thanks mate, love the car hope to see her one day again, its in good hand now. well i was going on business when i saw it was the 1st spare parts shop i saw while coming from Colombo side. sorry i didn't catch any name of that joint, only that the unit was right outside the shop. IF you are lucky enough it might be still around so since its 1 hour might as well go there
  16. Dont think you can find a body kit alone unless you are to buy the entire unit, places I had seen one in Kurunagala which included a meshed front grill plus front n rear bumpers and that too you need to buy the entire part. might wanna try roaming around that place or ask someone in that area to have a look i am summing u just want the body kit and wanting the teak panel means your car isn't a GT
  17. I was gonna buy this car but it didnt fair well checking through Car Checks n all so didn't. It was a looker though sad seen
  18. Well hope it lasts longer than the once that came before ...have seen a few where the number plates is "K" series but there are rust all over the body....
  19. Okay seriously I have no clue what possessed either parties to accept this situation, i just wanted to know why he was going to all the trouble of putting the cable over a wall since the house was on the road side and clearly there was a gate too. only by asking i got those info as well. who know why?? only a Leaf owner will elaborate on this i just thought it was freaking funny... Damn should have taken a picture though...Ohh well life of a Leaf owner is something i tell ya
  20. still the problem is you can drive off with the car no matter what??? whats the point if the car aint there??? don't know about u all but if someone threatens and takes your car from you and drives off only hving a beep from the car that irritates you, he can drive off dismantle what ever he pleases and sell it off.
  21. hmm the things that can happen to resale values of Priuses i tell you... telling your friends that you have a Priasss with a smart key now its USELESS please do not let your valet drive off with it Mwaahahaha
  22. I was just joking about the chopping part mate, it was the 1st time i came across this situation and was surprising to me how this could happen. i dunno if 3rd party security systems have the same problem or if they are better than this.
  23. Lol IF you need any parts for a Prius per say anyone can drive it to a chop shop dismantle it and get away with enough parts noh
  24. @JFLanka - my boss has a Prius and got it for a small errand and came back to work, and while on start his driver took the car and went to my bosses residence 5km away. he never switched off the car but handed over something and came back. only when he tried to lock the car he noticed there wasn't a key to be found, which was actually in my pocket so this car just went on its own without a key 5km and came back a total of approx 10km without any incident... Haiyoo Sallieee
