Can anyone give an English translation of service to Sinhala-illiterates like me?

Well it's mostly a straight road and he probably assumed he had sufficient traction on his tyres and I guess 100km/h by motorway standards is not really that fast, so I wouldn't call him a fool, perhaps something happened to make him veer off the road more than just lack of traction. But trust me if you drove 20km/h on a motorway you'll be offending other motorists, if you want to drive at that speed get on the galle road and while you say there is no minimum speed on the motorway, these are the things so many uneducated drivers start saying and make driving on that road dangerous. When I was on it the other week, 8/10 drivers couldn't keep to a lane making overtaking dangerous. Perhaps this is what happened: Someone thought 'no offence by driving in the middle, it's safe like that no?' and the idiot passengers probably thought 'no minimum speed limit no, so let's drive in the middle at 60km/h'. A CB3 Lancer may have been trying to overtake them going at 100 (because he has a beat barrel, no?) and finds he can't overtake the moron in the middle of the road. The moron then decides to pick a lane, going to the right, the Lancer then has to swing left, because he's an idiot too and has got too close (can't slow down cos he has a beat barrel) and goes off the road, crumples into a ball and lands on the farmer's cow. The original moron in the middle of the road said "ammatasiri see! Good thing we are going slow and in the middle like this"

I go as Shintaro. That was 11 in Colombo, outstation was better than that. Just to warn you though there are no newish cars for your budget that are as attractive as the Picanto, that new one is a sexy looking hatchback. The swift looks like an oversized rollerskate and the March like a frog. Priyanka's suggestions are also no better, the Passo is not within your budget as far as I'm aware, the FB15 and N16 won't deliver very good fuel consumption and all of them, including that old vitz, are ugly as sin.

Yo Batagoda, I agree with you on the fuel consumption in the AK12 and use the 90 octane petrol in the March and you'll find yourself struggling for power up inclines (I'll never forget that drive to Kandy after stinting on petrol - absolutely did my head in), but I wonder how you can categorically say that swifts require regular repairs like they are all coming apart at the seams - are you driving yours through Homs or Damascus or something? The 2004 swift I had was quite reliable and in the 2 years that I used it, I had zero repairs as such other than general maintenance common to all cars and it delivered me a neat 11km/l.

I didn't understand much of what you typed, but if I get it right you scour the internet for accident pictures, store them on your hard drive, then look for pictures of deadly accidents showing mangled bodies, then you go on the news each day to watch the accidents on the news and then you stare at cutouts on the road of accidents? Sometimes manufacturers use leather only on the part of the seat that you sit on, i.e. a strip down the middle of the seat, and the sides are of some synthetic material. I don't know how you can get non-leather repaired, but I suppose you could get the seat re-upholstered locally keeping the original leather strip and some locally available synthetic leather.
