Thanks for the info guys, yes these days there's no big diff between LPG and petrol. This is for one of my uncles FB15. He wants to use it for hiring purposes. The conversion also might cost close to 70 - 80 i guess. So ROI wouldn't be so great in the short run. And never know about the gas prices either.

kia sportage is not a serious off road vehicle, so i don't know how to justify additional 400k for 4WD. My SUV also has 4x4 feature but i cant really remember how many times i have used it. It only gives additional costs when it comes to servicing cz have to change oil in both differentials ect. For driving in slippery roads, check they offer options like Traction control. It will be much useful than 4x4 in my opinion. And who doesn't like a vehicle with cosmatic upgrades rather than the stuff which ppl rarely use Just my opinion though

Experts , Were there any previous threads regarding converting petrol vehicles to LP Gas ? could not find any ... Any person here have done this before ? Appreciate if someone can give more info on this subject. Any potential drawbacks of this conversion ? apart from the savings of the fuel cost etc

You really mean, for AWD - 4k ?? Leather electric seats - 2-3 k ?? Just out of curiosity. :)Or are you talking "lakhs" ? 4x4 is not much of a use to be honest with you for these type of vehicles, If i was u, i'd go for a nice leather interior package and a nice set of rims. Which would definitely add resale value later.

When pushing the accelator while the vehicle is on "Park" position, should the engine RPM go all the way to max? ... Or is there a limiter? My car has up to 8k RPM but when raving it it stops around 4 - 5k. If i push the accelator more the car slightly vibrates but RPM does not go over 5K mark. Is this behaviour normal ?

Hi guys, facing a small problem these days. when the car is low on fuel (indicator almost touching "E" mark, but computer indicates theres enough gas for 40 Kms) its very hard to start. sometimes have to crank 5 - 6 times. sometimes doesn't start @ all until refill. No problem with the starter motor/ alternator. the problem solves immediately when i refill. even at quarter mark of fuel, no problem with startng. Is this a problem with the car computer showing incorrect info (40 km range though im almost empty)? But when i get it started, i can go until the range drops to 0 kms. Tried it once to empty the tank. Or is this due to bad petrol or something related to fuel pump pressure? Appreciate your input ...

Yes, i got my old car re wired few years back. It was a 1998 Wingroad. Had to do a full wiring as bloody mice have eaten it up. Recently i got the alternator diods and regulator IC changed. I have seen lot of old cars in the garage. Best thing is to call him and ask. And if you are going go early as possible. cz first come first serve

Once u enter maharagama - piliyandala (341 bus route) from maharagama, drive like 500M. Therea a Tire shop to your right hand side. And right opp to this there is a by lane. Cant rem the name of the road. But there is a board which says car electrical and alternator repairing. The person is known as "Sudu aiya" Even u can ask from anyone from that road for directions in case u got lost. 0777345295 this is his number.

I went to A$$pal recently to check a car subwoofer. The guys didn't even looked at me until 5 minutes or so. was so busy looking @ the computer screens and talking on the phone (there were 2 ppl). And finally the fellow asked and it took him another 5 minutes to call some person and check the prices of the units. I just said thanks and went out. Lol
