Any of you guys have an idea how much can he get for the classic Ford Prefect? I know that it's in bad shape, but if he finds a buyer who'd give him a better price for it , he can go for a better car.

It's not like buying a brand new car through agents, we cannot assume that the reconditioned ones have been maintained properly by the previous owners in Japan. Also the same when you buy a second hand one in SL otherwise the previous owner provides you with service records. You should have given much priority for this when you bought the vehicle in the first place because maintaining the CVT is a big issue. Anyway as Rumesh88 also said , if damage is done you cannot reverse it. It's a good thing at least you changed it now. But be cautious, poorly maintained CVTs tend to fail prematurely.

There are "Sanasa Holiday Bungalows " @ top pass (when you're coming from Colombo where the climbing ends and going down begins )You can see them on the mountain on the right side actually small apartments. 3/4 bedrooms, tiny living room, kitchen 2 bathrooms. Not much of a view though

It would be easier for us to recommend you a vehicle if you could emphasise your concerns more. (Like fuel economy, ground clearance ) I think most of these vehicles have been discussed before, so it's better to go through those threads before you make up your mind. For that budget I would definitely go for a Mazda 6.

What kind of problem did you encounter? And what is your vehicle model?

No, it's a compact sedan.Since the OP has mentioned Mark ll and Cefiro, it seems like he has a comfortable mid sized sedan on his mind Most of the cars our guys suggested belong to this category such as Galant Primera p12 Verrosa Accord I think Cedric is a full sized executive sedan. Once I was lucky to ride in one. That was very comfortable.

It's nice to hear that you're on the car hunt too.It is true that the Mazda 3 ordered through agent doesn't come with sun roof and some more bells and whistles but I came across some Axela hybrids with sun roofs. For me the interior was quite ok for axela and 3. Brand new Mazda 6 with 2.5L Skyactiv engine is a bit pricey but registered ones are advertised around 6.5M. These come with more bells and whistles than 2L Mazda 6 (sun roof, Active driving display,Bi-Xenon discharge lamps and daytime running lamps, e loop braking, etc) Brand new Mazda 6 2L is brought down by the agents for 7M. That's quite bang for the bucks considering 2016 Allions and premios are priced for 8M (sigh) 2.5L Mazda 6 is s bit rare but 2L is not.

Yeah, it feels like interior dimensions of Honda Grace are equal to Fit GP5. Even though Grace is categorized under compact sedan ,it feels more like a subcompact sedan when you're inside. Axio hybrid is not a mid-sized sedan, it's a compact sedan. I would like to suggest some more cars for your budget range If you look only for hybrids Mazda Axela Skyactiv-G hybrid 2016. Non hybrids Mazda 3 2016 Mazda 6 2016 Toyota Premio 260 2015 Toyota Allion 260 2015 Toyota Corolla 170 2016 Since you've asked "value for the price you pay", I think Mazda 6 is the one.

We sold our swift 2004 for 18,65/- back in 2011. I think swift has better ground clearance than elite.

During major accidents, there is a high chance of damage to the spinal cord. The damage could be worsened with improper ways of transportation the injured to the hospital. Already damaged spine could get further damaged with patient being bent or even with vibration while being transported (specially in tuk tuks ). Fractured vertibrae could also further damage the spine. The best way is to transport the injured in an ambulance. That way the patient would be put on a spinal board and a cervical collar which would prevent further damage to the spine. Unfortunately this is not practical in SL. Atleast the injured should be transported on a hard surface with minimal movements for better prognosis, if any spinal injury is suspected.
