What about OP's original query? Travailing through Anuradhapura is a bit risky. One of my friend traveled from Jaffna to Colombo on Wednesday. He said there were few flooded places, but it wasn't a problem for buses, no idea for light vehicles. Kurunagala - Dambulla - Habarana road should be ok but I heard yesterday that a part of Colombo - Kurunagala road was flooded. Maybe your best bet is to travel to Kandy and head to Trinco via A9.

No can do machan, long time planned trips and booked hotels with no refunds. But I'm actually going next weekend not this weekend, things might actually get settled by then.

Colombo - Kandy - Gampola road is clear all the way not even a fallen tree branch on the road, I traveled yesterday. Don't think the rest of the way is any different. I'm traveling to N'Eliya next weekend from Colombo, not sure about the Hatton - Thalawakale stretch, as I've heard its very dangerous when raining due to land slides.

yup similar in the 260 allion/premio, but if you are referring to the axio hybrid, there is no cigarette lighter, only a 12V/10A auxiliary socket is available, its located near the handbrake.

Hybrids are only quiet when running on EV mode, when the engine starts it sounds like freaking lawnmower. If you are looking only for hybrids the axio would be another choice, has descent boot space and reasonably comfortable.

Don't think they take that avg speed into account, ones one of my friend got caught on the Katunayake expressway and the cop had told him that speeds up to 110kmph is ok but that they wont let go if you do above that. He was doing 120kmph, I have seen many people do 100kmph+ on the 80kmph zone on Katunayake expressway.

First do a transmission fluid change and see if the problem goes away, also what about the reverse gear does it engage with a delay?

No catchy, jingle or phase yeah, but it refers to the first two ads quite nicely. For me it has that little bit of creativity which most of the other sri lankan ads lack.

I can vouch for the 7th gen Accord too. Comfortable car with good pulling power. 2.4L Vtec did around 6 kmpl in Colombo. Had few electrical glitches but nothing that a good electrician couldn't fix.

Planning a trip to Kandapola, Nuweraeliya end of June. Whats the usual weather conditions in June at Nuwaraeliya? Dnt want to go there if its a heavily raining season.

Take it to a good electrical repair shop or try Browns Exide Thimbirigasyaya. They will check the battery condition and charging.

Could be your alternator, is the battery charging ok? Does the head lights, dash board lights etc. dim when you release the accelerator?
