  2. ah fit didnt know that you sold it...hehe....Yup totally agree with you about the sound.have been in a SOCH VTEC with a Mugen straight through many times and i should say that even the SOCH gives a great engine note when its in the VTEC zone...so no argument there about the sound of the DOHC VTEC.....
  3. I think what he meant there was 'EG hatch' otherwise he wouldnt have mentioned 'Dual Carb'...I have seen many people calling the EG hatch as EG6 as it is the most popular model of them all and most of the times it helps people with limited knowledge of the hassis numbers to understand that the person is talking about the EG hatch. ..there are many dual carb hatches in here in aussie, however havent seen any in SL..almost all of them are SiR s'..I think velocity is a proud owner of one of those.. . He might be able to give you some more info. some good info there optimus prime...
  4. Found a video clip of the new NSX on youtube....love the sound of that engine..
  5. You have to add the fuel system cleaner first and then pump petrol.Instructions would be there on the back lable..
  6. The new season starts on June 22nd 2008.
  7. GT2 is RWD and it has a twin turbo flat 6 engine which puts out 530HP.Its the same engine as you get in the 911 Turbo but with some mods to the intake(intake openings on the rear wing which send additional air into the intake and also gives a ram air effect), intake manifold(expansion intake manifold), +0.2 bar boost over the boost level of the 911 Turbo and upgraded intercoolers..
  8. dont have any idea about the market values of these cars to comment on the resale value thingy, but i know many people who are using Altos and normal maruti 800s, and none of them ever complained about them breaking down. All those cars have done above 100,000kms...
  9. http://www.carbibles.com/engineoil_bible.html visit the above link and scroll down the page a bit.you will find a small description there.
  10. This was hot news a long time back in 2007 bro....and there was a thread on this here in AL. Search the forum a bit..

  13. SeanD, Machan did you use copyescape to find the relevant link?
  14. Dear MR.Kotte Mafia, I would really appreciate if you could teach us some techniques of barganing that you used to get the price of a R34 GTR reduced down to $12,500. I have recently checked the prices of the whole skyline range on www.carsales.com.au ,which is a very famous car selling wesite among many who live in Australia, but i was unable to find any R34 GTRs for $12500. Can i please have the contact details of the person who got this car down for you all for $12500. Thanks in advance. your reply is well appreciated.
  15. you might find it a lil hard to get parts for this...Stafford guys dont import parts for this model anymore. And finding parts from other places wouldnt be that easy either. As others have pointed out, at least try to find a Grand civic in decent condition. Cost would be higher though..There are some well maintained 85 civics around but again i wouldn't recommend one, specially a one with an auto box...
  16. Here's some more info about it guys
  17. I am not an expert on this...but i would really appreciate if you could spend few minutes and explain us how that really happens. This might be true in a wornout engine with worn piston rings, liners, etc where the piston rings are not able to stop the oil from getting into the combustion chamber, however this is highly unlikely in a b'new engine. As far as i know, while the lubrication is doing its part lubricating all the moving parts in the engine, the fuel does its job in the combustion chamber. So if these two were to meet each other, then the heat that is generated in the combustion process would obviously burn some engine oil, just like in old wornout engine. If the oil is burnt, then this would cause the vehicle to produce some smoke( white/bluish smoke), someting which i have never seen in any b'new car. Further, this would also cause the oil level to significantly go down after several thousand miles...which is,again, highly unlikely in any b'new car... However, if your comment was regarding a wornout engine, then i wouldnt have raised this question. Since you have made a general comment there in your post, i thought of getting this clarified....
  18. Yup i should also say that your's is one of the fastest cars that i have ever been in. The way that your car got up to 180 was just amazing...since i was sitting in the front seat i had a very good chance to monitor the speedo and machang the way it went all the way up to 180 was just superb.. machang is it safe to shift the gears at 8000rpm? bc i saw you shifting all the gears at 8000...
  19. yup its a great looking car you have got there bro. should also mention that you did a great job in converting the car into an STi....the speeds that it can achieve is just amazing. I was so amazed the first day that you took me for a ride in it. Exellent work machan.
  20. Hi Gihan, checked the link in your post and seems like there are so many jobless jokers in SL who don't have anything to do with their time other than taking pictures of nice cars that belong to other people and posting the pics in places like Hi5 thinking that no one would notice it. Actually what sort of an idiot would do something like that? Yup agree with all you guys, FB is a much better place than Hi5..
  21. machan he doesn't sell alloys....the ones he gave me, they were from his previous car. he said that he was trying to sell them for sometime but couldn't bc of all the recon alloys that are available in the market...so gave me those for free... the best place for the windscreen beadings would be the dealers machan....sometime back i was searching for a rear windscreen beading for my car but couldn't find any good stuff anywhere else other than the dealers... me too tried samarasinghe windscree house but they also didnt have it. But they have them for old cars.Bc once we wanted to get a front windscreen beading for our old nissan Datsun pickup and Samarasinghe guys had them..
  22. well machan if you go to a good reputed place that sells recon alloys then they wouldn't sell you crappy ones...JJ and amila are some of the reputed places for good recons...since tubeless tires are used on these alloys check the outer edge for damages and inspect the alloys well...other members would be able to give you more info on this regarding the price...actually i didnt have to pay anything machan. i got them for free from a very good friend of mine . However the price that he quoted in the market was 8K..those are 13"s actually....so if you go for 15"s then the price might be a lil bit higher but compared to the b'new prices it would be a bargain.... ...
  23. well well...its not the first time that people like you jumped in the forum and started useless arguments on stuff without having the actual knowledge/facts. So far from all your posts and specifically from your post posts its quite clear that you are a person that has very little or limited knowledge on what really goes on in the current drag events. And its also clear that you are sort of a person who wants to criticize what ever that happens in SL. Unlike you and your so called RX8, STi friends, the members here don't stay at home humiliating the guys that actually run the drag scene, so they have a better knowledge about the cars that appear in the drags. May be its just that you watched F&F again and thought that drags were still like the old days. sorry to say this but you are just humiliating your self by dragging this argument longer and bro next time pls think twice before you make any comments with your ancient knowledge....
  24. regarding the current prices...one of my friends sold his 2002 Super Saloon for 1.8mill two months back...it was in very good condition with a very low millage...however it was a Singapore spec recon import.... search the forum a little bit machan then you would come across a number of threads that would give you some more info about the prices, maintenance, etc
