Toyota 1N-T Turbodiesel Engine

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am trying to buy a diesel car. When I am checking 1N-T turbodiesel Engine; I remove the oil level checking rod and saw the oil is splitting out from that hole. The car owner told that it is NOT due to bad engine and told that it is normal to that model.

Please can someone advice me on it.

Thank you,

Pra

Oil spitting out through the dipstick tube is NOT normal.

Worst case scenario is that the engine needs to be torn apart and the piston rings replaced. The pressure is escaping the combustion chamber and entyring the crankcase, thus causing excess pressure in it and that in turn is leaking through the dipstick tube.

Best case is that there is a small block in the crankcase vent.
