Dashboard Patches

Recently i happen to clean my car dashboard which had a small patch near the passenger air bag in black... I mixed up two cottons which i was using, one with thinner and the other with a interior cleaner, and used the thinner cotton to clean that patch by mistake. Now the dashboard paint has gone and it's a bit white there. can someone please tell me how can i get back the original color???????? It would be a great help !!!

first of all, what the heck are you doing with paint thinner while cleaning a dashboard?

Second, If you removed the paint layer there's no going back.You could try using a little rubbing compound to try to blend the problem spot with the rest of the dash but the spot will still be there either way.

Well u can get the entire dashboard re-dyed. Don't know of any place in SL that does such a thing but you can DIY. The dyes could be purchased on ebay. Becareful on getting the right colour. Also with many cars having the same interior colour on the dash as well as door panels, you have to be careful not to show a big contrast!

Thanks guys for the replies.. Like i said before, i accidently mixed up the thinner cotton and now i'm suffering..

I curse my self for that.. I was thinking of buying a light brown permanent marker and just covering it up. Is it OK and will it work?? thanks again..
