Hi All

I have a Toyota Passo. It indicate the EPS and it has became a real problem for me. I made a scan from one place and it showed a fault as Relay failure. Can anybody give me a advice for this to sort out.

Thank you

Amila

you will need to check the power steering motor and fuses for failure. as far as i know, the PS motor is a non serviceable item and if faulty will need to be replaced. if the motor and fuses are ok i'm afraid the problem might be the power steering ECU going kaput. premature death on the EPS is a problem on some of the newer toyotas. there was a recall for this some time ago i believe.

suggest you take it to toyota lanka for the diagnosis at least, though you may be able to get it fixed elsewhere.

Hi

Thank you very much for the advice. Do you know any kind of place other than Toyota Lanka for fixing on this ?.

sorry mate wouldn't want to recommend any garage until you properly diagnose the problem especially on something which could be complicated like this. just get it checked at toyota lanka and ask for an estimate. that won't cost a lot. then post what needs to be replaced or send me a pm. may be able to advice you where else to try.
