Corolla Sprinter

Toyota corolla sprinter version seems to be having low resale value when comparing with "normal" corolla versions (AE/CE 110/100, etc.).

Could anyone give us reasons for this low resale value?

Is it due to some technical failure/s, Lack of spare parts (Brand new/Used)?

Other than the different body style/lights/shells/badges the both versions seems to be the same!

mate, theres nothing really wrong with sprinter. it shares the same engine and most body parts except a few! its just the way the sri lankan car market has defined the terms. i personally prefer sprinter over a corolla by the looks.

I heard someone telling used (reconditioned) spare parts (esp. the body parts) are rare

not flooded like in the case of corollas. but you can find anything any where. im referring to the ae110 variants

Wat are the versions avilable in AE 110 Sprinter/CE110 Sprinter and what are the options in those versions?

you get SE vintage with minor cosmetic upgrades like the Rpm meter , power shutter switch on rear doors on door arm rest, touch A/C etc..

then the XE vintage without above

and you get a SE vintage L grade with all above and teak panels. and you get SE vintage Rivera with all above and nickel door handles and garnish.

theres a basic LX model too.

this is all what i have seen. may be someone else could add more...

i think sprinter has more options than corolla,,,its a premier grade..and i dont think there is something called toyota corolla sprinter...it sould be sprinter or corolla...

i had an ae100 sprinter se limited.

like most folks have said....it's actually the highest grade of corollas at the time. a quick googling can get you the details...

but in our market sprinters take a back seat to the standards corolla

sprinters come stock with back headrests, speedlock and have better sound proofing afaik

and imho...the sprinter looks a lot better than the corolla

It's a pretty decent car for it's age and i have no regrets whatsoever owning one

Guys I own a Sprinter 110 99 model, XE vintage Limited. I have it for the last 2 years. It is a very good car, very low maintanance & good in fuel& performs very well for its age. If you see the rear seat belt it is written Corolla Sprinter. This is same as corolla. ( engine, gear box etc) The body is slightly differant, but surly the second hand value is lower than corolla, for no reason.

I think the low resale value is probably due to lack of spare parts, regarding used spares;few days ago I just walk around Delkanda finding some fine interior parts (few plastics clips, etc) for my CE110 and just ask the sales guys from few shops regarding sprinter spares and they were surely hard to find. I have no idea about brand new spares.

But some of the body parts are same with Corolla. ie: Front Doors, Front fenders etc...
