friends,

i just bought 2 front speakers,2 rear speakers,1 amplifier,1 subwoofer and a setup and i am about to install em.

so after asking some of my friends and searching throughout AL,many friends and members of the forum recommended Pet#o and GILBERT.

gilbert quoted 9k where as Pet#o quoted 4100,just the wiring chargers, excluding wires!theres a place at mount called BARA stereo and they quoted 2500 for wiring and another 1500 for wires.

and one of my friend advised me that i have to buy a separate wire for the subwoofer and amp from 3M for around 6500 which is fire resistance to manage any overload.is that true?

and does anyone know any joints who specialize in subwoofer boxes?everyplace quoted me 4-5k where as many of my friends tell me that it could be done for 2-3 k.

i hope many of you guys have alot of experience regarding this matter,so would you guys kindly educate me on the standard procedure & charges and which is the best place i should go?

thanks alot guys.

After spending on an entire setup I'd not be too worried about dumping an extra 1.5k for a sub woofer enclosure- makes a mountain of a difference. You do need special wiring from the amp to the car battery- but not for the sub. The 3M variant sounds a bit over priced though. Anyway Glibert is known for using good quality installation materials @ high prices and places like Petc* & Advance are known for doing the job according to the owners budget :)

I'd avoid Advance at all costs they are very shabby & careless. I'm still regretting going there to get my installation done. They will also try to convince you that what you have isn't good & try to get you to replace something. Pet#o might be better & Gilbert, though I have never visited them have had way better reviews & people say that they are underrated.

this might be bit off the topic, how do they install a sound proof for the woofers?
