Hello Guys,

I had a FB 15 but I sold it last week because of a money urgent. At the moment I'm having only 12.5 laks (but i can offer up to 15laks). But I have no clue what is the best car for me within this price range. I need a car for home use. I have some conditions because of these im stuck.

1. Good look of the car

2. Should be English number

3. EFI

4. I can offer up to 15 laks

5. at least 9 - 10 km per ltr in city

Because of these circumstance My family members need to go for Hyundai Elantra or Sonata H matic. Im little bit nervous to go for it. Have no clue whether they are having native problems in engine, gear boxes etc.

I really like to go for Mitsubishi Lancer CK2. But still I couldn't find a better car.Because im looking

1. White

2. Manual

3. English number

4. EFI

Can you guys please help me to find a better answer. Thanks guys..

Regards,

Chamal

Thanks for the reply dude.

Nissan FB14, Pulsar and Toyota Tarcel, Corsa look older.. :( and there is no English # as well. I am ok with Subaru Impreza GC1 and Familia 323 . Because it can be bought English # on that price range. The case is Impreza spare parts are very lack. Mazda 323 also beyond 15 laks.

Elantra has 1600 cc engine no. Why it does 7-8 city limits. As i heard H-matic does 7-8 in city yes. if the triptronic is used then it becomes 9 - 10. Anyway can I know any unique problems with these (often repairs) Hyundai models.?

Thank you so much for your reply again...!

There are English No cars available for FB14 and Pulsar

emmm actually u can mate.. if you search hard you might be able to get a hold off of an G number Subaru Imprezza and if your in Colombo.. parts aren't a big issue..

but if your in a place like Kandy.. like me.. there are no parts at all...

and again no.. you can get pulsur, fb14, or tercel English numbers since you are willing to stretch for 1.5mil

and i heard the Elentra does so mate doesn't have personal experience.. may be because the car is a bit heavy i guess...

and also elantra is a sort of a luxury car than a family car.. so you have to assume..

but i cant be precise... since i never used one mate.. so its up to you and hope some others will contribute there thoughts here...

The CK2 is good, but when i searched for cars.. for that budget all i got was the once with the Carb engine

i know 2 CK2's one is a bit Dark Grey and the other is Brown...

both english number.. the Grey one is 1.65 Mil and the Brown is 17.5 Mil

donno weather they are still available though... saw them in katugasthota

The 323 is a good bet. They're generally newer than most CK2s.

Oh and using the tiptronic function won't reduce the fuel consumption.

i saw that car in Uni Motors near the Mahayana junction didnt get a good look at the back though

If you really go for looks and the mentioned facts you can easily settle down with a Peugeot 406 or a cefiro but its not good on fuel though. But cefiro does better on petrol than the pulsar. These cars are real value for money compared to those old Fb14 n so

Thank you all for replying me. Thanks a lot.

Peugeot 406 is not a good option because the spare parts are too much expensive. And maintain is not easy as well.

By the way. I decided to look for Mitsubishi Lancer CK2

Please guys help me to find better lancer.

Should be.

1. White

2. Manual

3. English number (prefer if not also ok now )

4. EFI
