Anyone have experience on these 3 cars and what is the good comfortable and Good fuel consumption in SL roads?

Thank you.

I've driven the A-star as well as the k10,for me the A-star would be the choice.....and the red one is it a geely or a panda

Thanx CyRaX.

Yes. The first red one is Geely Panda LC 1.3.

How is the A-Star? and how s te fuel consumption and interior space and handling?

Just a point to add about the Geely Panda (AKA Micro Trend), that u might wanna consider - Although it looks like a confused fish, it is supposed to be the safest car in its category.

No experience in any of these cars so I shall refrain from any further comments.

Yes Crosswind. i watched that before. Thank you very much . . :)

Hey amila why didn't you add Viva Elite to your list. Its better than K10. And in city it does around 12km/l.

Panda only do around 8km/l. But its 1.2L and the most powerful of the above. on youtube you can watch great videos of Panda.. Just amazing. but lack of spares in SL.

My choices are;

1. Viva Elite (good features. value for money.) only added for your info.

2. Panda (powerful. lowest price)

3. A Star (Most expensive of the list. but seems to have lots around)

4. K10

Thanx Nirosha. yeah. i heared about Viva Elite. but dnt know about that car more. who is the agent and distributor of that car? and how s the spares in SL market? and what is the price on it?

Yeah. i saw the videos and and panda is the most safty hatchback (in SL too i think in this price range).

So how s the Viva Elite on your way of drive?

Thank you . .

hey amila.. i have driven the alto K10 and have gone to see the Panda in Micro.. havent driven or seen a A star before..

the panda maybe the safest of all but its gonna cost you extra 80,000 bucks for dual air bags.. which actually gives it just 3 star NCAP rating..

and for me it has a HORRIBLE boot and a Very cheap feeling inside.. compared to the K10..

for a home use i suggest the K10, its much more reliable..

My first pick would be the Viva.Unit#d Mot#rs is the agent here.Had owned a kelisa earlier, actually my mothers, which was one in the first batch to arrive in Sri Lanka,it turned out to be reliable as Japaneese, infact its Japaneese parts used, but assembled in Malaysia...For me the obvious pick would be the Viva even if a Demio or a Vitz was in the list...and about the spares there is ample availabel with the agents,we didnt have any problem with Unit#d Mot#rs...I highly recommended it to a friend of mine,he got it last month and he is very happy with the vehicle.Despite the fact of ground clearence everythinb else is in the favour of the Viva...I dont know about the k10 regarding this issue but the alto 800cc had a problem in controlling where the speed exceeded 80km/h.There are a few Viva owners on the forum, hope they could shed some light. What I have to say is for me nothing is better than the Viva (compared to the cars in that range).Good Luck

Yes Schiffer. Totally agreed about cheap interior on Panda LC car. thats really true. rear seat is too much poor. but i had a test drive last day. its too much comfortable than Alto.

still i ve no idea about Viva Elite and A-Star. . .

Thanx Schiffer.

And from what i've seen from the other members is that Micro's customer care is not good at all.

I have driven K10 and Panda, very recently one of my friend bought A star and I had a drive on that also. safetywise panda might be better..but comfort ride quality and spacious wise A star is better i suppose.and it's better looking than the other two..no idea about Viva..I'm sure viva is not a comfortable vehicle but heard that it does better on fuel.

yeap specially the air vents.. it feels like it will break off any second..

and the fake carbon fiber trim on the dashboard..

and yes the position of the rear seat is horrible..

its hard to get in and out and my head kept knocking on the roof..

i never get to go on a test drive, since they didn't give test drives in Kandy branch..

oh.. i have seen the viva elite but haven't driven it, its a nice car, it still has the cheap feeling but it has a bit more room compared to the geely

and have a bigger boot than it as well.. but overall its a great car.. and also out of all.. the viva is available with Automatic transmission as well

i think a-star is best suits for your requirement. correct me if i'm wrong a-star has higher ground clearance than Alto K10 and micro Panda.

I'm not sure the time frame if you buy it here..my friend imported himself through a friend of him in India..he opened a LC and don't know for how much..he told me that he had to spend around 1.8 million Sri Lankan rupees with custom duties..but i think now it might be bit more after tax revision.. what i have noticed generally is If you know the Indian market price of a car..just multiply it from 3 ..you will get the Sri Lanka market price.

Well i dont have any driving experience with Viva Elite yet...;) But its better than K10 surely. Main problem for me is lower ground clearance (14.5cm) no USB player. But i think both are can be ignored. (you may see lots of nissan and suzuki around with no problem even low ground clearance) there are lots of threads about viva elite and other cars in your list.

Yeah they are very well built I must say,and wish they could get the Myvi here.Well when we were buying the kelisa everyone said not to except me,maybe because it was new to the country, around 5 years ago.It was a very well built piece of solid I must say. :)
