I need to buy a car to use for one year + on a max budget of about Rs 1.5 million. What is / are the best options esp. in terms of resale value after a year?

Have checked out Nissan B14s (1998), Honda Civic EK3 (1998) - any other options? What sort of mileage (already done) should I be looking at?

Look forward to your response - Thanks!

Go for a EK3 1999 with crystal tail lights. Also If I were you I would worry less about the mileage and more about the overall condition of the car. It's very likely that any car in our market with low mileage for the age, has had it's odometer reading changed.

Thanks JD.

How would a Peugeot 406 (1.8L) 2000 model compare with these?

I doubt that it'll sell as quickly as a B14 or EK3 would.

Others: Toyota Corsa/ Soluna, Nissan Presea, Mazda Familia

Milage Would be(Roughly): Between 140000 - 200000 (But it varies)

From those 2, EK3, i actually own a FB14 but still, i suggest EK3 :D

and better buy a car for around 1.3 to 1.5 coz no matter what you buy

there will be some repaires, these cars are more than 10 years old now.. hehe

Long story short, a peugeot will not meet your requisites. Altho'ugh if you are up for a challenge and wouldn't mind spending more on maintanence, then it's a really nice ride.

As for other choices there is the 323 and 323 hatchback which looks pretty sweet.

If you aren't worried about high maintanence or resale, then there are a lot of possibilities but in your case the list is pretty narrow.
