Did u inspect under the mudguards to see if a piece of plastic or something is touching the wheels when they are straight?

Well you need to get it inspected. I had such a noise in my car and it turns out some locks keeping the brake pads in place have dropped off, wasn't dangerous but was causing some noise and I was convinced it was the CV joints.

The other possibility is steering parts or suspension parts so those are worthy of an investigation.

And if it's CV joint related the problem is usually on the gear box side as CV joints tend to be more noisy when turning if they are worn.

Well I think I know what your friend is referring to. I referred to it as the gear box end of the prop shaft. Usually that end does not have as much flexibility as the CV joint (just up and down movement supported) but I guess you can refer to it as a CV joint. It's probably that end (the inner joint closest to the gearbox) which is faulty if the error is related to that system.
