Please help me.

I and permit holder and decided to buy KIA sorento Diesel SUV. I have following question regarding new vehicle.

1. 1. Is that important to select 4WD option that will cost me around 1100*1.7 $
   
2. 2. I have decided to select triptronic and I read there are some problem under that option . Is that true.
   
3. 3. What should be best color to select.

answer to Q1-if ur a serious offroad guy then u shud select dis option and by selcting it u'll be burdened with the additional mainataince costs too.If u intend to use ur vehiclemainly for road running then i dnt think u shud go for a 4WD version

answer to Q2-upto date i have never heard of any trouble relating to triptronic, so go ahead get the option its a must specially during hectic driving conditions.

Most of the permit holders who buy SUVs go for them cos of the image. Hardly anyone takes their Sorento or Montero for any off-roading, cos of the fear of getting it scratched. So for your day to day use, 4WD is not really needed. If you are planning to make a buck or two out of the Sorento after 4 years, then 4WD will help u fetch that extra cash.

KIA and Hyundai has been producing tiptronic boxes for a while now and except for the early models, I don't think there are any issues with them.

Are you seriously asking others what colour you should select?

yeah pink is the right color.

@op vehicle color is some thing you must select because you are the one who going to live with it not us so seriously you should choose it.

A lot of mechanics say tiptronic boxes are not reparable but I think this is more the case that they don't know how to do it. There is nothing inherently wrong with them, but you may possibly find that some buyers like vehicles without the frills to keep down future repair costs which could affect your resale. Just a thought.

4WD is unnecessary, however I see a fair few Monteros, Vitaras etc. in Yala, so if you are considering the vehicle for multiple purposes, then it would be useful. If you have the cash, I'd say go for it, better you have it and don't need it than you wished you had it when you need it I say.

Colour? I assume you're asking that because you want to know about resale, well look at the common colours on the road and you'll get your answer. Personally I think you should go for yellow and wear some kind of banana suit when you use the vehicle. I say this because we need to look at future demand and as everyone knows, fruit themes are definitely the way forward (as you would already have noticed with Apple and Blackberry - both successful fruits). The next fruit is going to be banana, you need to get in on it early.

Umm I'm not underestimating anything. I am fully aware of all of its capabilities. My point is that it's not designed to be a serious off-road vehicle. I'm sure you can take it off-roading if you want and it's designed to handle easy trails, but the fact is it's not designed to recieve the kind of abuse a "serious off-roader" will give it. You see Kyrons with big tires and lifts on our roads, do you think they are good for driving through even moderately hard trails? Any vehicle can be taken off-roading, the problem is that few can overcome the obstacles and consant abuse of a trail. I take it based on your statements, you have never driven on a trail. I think you should atleast go speak to some people who know about off-roading befor eyou offer your opinions on what a good off-road vehicle is.
