Engine Swap For A Pulsar Fn14, Ga15Ds Engine

I have a FN14 with a GD15DS carb engine. its a 1.5 litre engine gives out abt 90hp. I'm thinking to swap a 2.0 ltr or more fuel injected engine for it. currently looking for a compatible engine. The GTIR version of this make has a turbocharged SR20DET engine this will probably be a straight fit, but its hard to find and expensive than other 2.0 ltr options in SL. Can u guys give me your opinion for a compatible NISSAN engine!!

There is also the VZR engine SR16VE with NEO VVL technology. All these engines probably drop in without an issue though you will need a proper conversion kit which will include, engine, gearbox, ecu, wiring loom, radiator, engine mounts and possibly other bits as well.

Well the kits do exist and I am sure you can get one ordered in through a part importer. Problem as always will be cost Making one up by sourcing bits in SL is quite difficult. Malaysia is another good place to source kits.

Sometimes well known mechanics who specialise in conversions have kits for sale. I can't name one off the top of my head. A couple of years ago when a friend was thinking a VZR conversion he did find the bits he needed in SL.

I remember Devinda saying that there was a full GTiR conversion kit somewhere in Panadura area. I do believe it was with the 4WD system. PM Devinda and you should be able to get some details.
